Before I start this, I actually won the Word Pirate raffle today. I wonder if it's completely random, or the higher your score increases the percentage of chance? Well, I don't know how they programmed it, but at least I have 250 Dukka Coins now. 4 people wanted it for around 2 million, but I figured it was harder to find that much Dukka Coins compared to MP, so I just kept it to myself. Hmm, maybe it is possible to win things here with enough luck. Besides, with all the extra MP I have now, I guess I could afford to take extra risks with using up some MP to enter into chance competitions. Not like the real world where money is more precious, I guess. Maybe that's a lesson for me in life in general though, to take chances, and not always in a money sense, you know? Eh, but whatever.

Well, it did help to have lots of books, and ironically I got a lot of words from video games and movies too.

Double or Nothing

I remember something called the gambler's fallacy, which is the assumption of people in gambling something that rows of one result will increase the result of something else. For example, let's say you get heads 2 times in this guessing game, so you assume that you will get tails next, because after all, it can't be all the same in one row, right? But statistically, the chances of getting heads over tails is still the same. 50% for the randomized chance between two choices. Still takes a lot of luck to just win this game, but I guess that helps.

I remember in computing, we could tell if a passcode (in security) was made by a person over a randomized mix from a computer. Often, it's when people make a large number without any repeating number. Like 84521, instead of say 88521. Interesting, really.

Pearl Hurl

I originally thought to prioritize the front colored balls, but I found that the balls can moved back or stop for a moment more often if you take out the balls from behind the line. Though this game relies a lot on speed, and a lot of it is just not thinking too hard about strategy, while just trying to hit as many balls as possible. Emphasize the back row balls, but don't think about it too hard. It also helps if a certain set of colored balls are already 2 or more, so you can hit it immediately instead of just adding more balls.

Mine Marada

I find sometimes it's easier to time things in growing the pole used as a straw by rhythm or sound over looking how visually long something is. That is, get a sense of how many seconds there are to make a certain length of a pole, or get a sense of how long it is similar to a note of a specific song. Helps with a lot of similar games based on timing, I guess. Another game helpful to try this is Skyscraper.

Code Breaker

Some ways I handle this.

1. Keep trying different combinations of colors until the hint says that all the colors are collect, then just try to rearrange it.
2. Keep testing if a specific color or two is registered as the correct color in a good spot. This may take a lot of tries of pairing up the colors with something else.
3. Basically just keep guessing and remember as much of the previous wrong combinations before. Then just keep playing the game so you can just try every code possible. A lot of programming in hacking for example, is just getting a software to try all possible combinations of a password quickly for you, until an account is hacked. The same thing is happening here.
4. Just try obvious sounding passwords. Seems to work on the earlier levels. This is like in hacking how hackers may look up, for example, the 2000 most common passwords for something, and get a software to try all of them at once. That or be one of those people who try a birthday code and maybe their pet's name, or something. I got a large code of colors by just placing all the colors backward for example on the first try. For others, I did it quickly by just switching two pairs of colors as given. For example, switch the places of the first and second color, then switch the places of the third and fourth color. Maybe switch the first and last color, then the second and third color. Some codes even just do it in the order the colors are given. Maybe not including the first color, but from the second or third color, it is just that, ha ha.

Mineral Match

In a way, some basic math helps. Basically, count the gems with the least squares or the shortest route, then just do those first. Then count the rest in the shortest path possible, with progressively longer routes. It also helps to do this by the outside squares, going inside deeper into the inside squares. For example, connect gems on the outside corners first, then keep going inside. Keep account of which gem path might block each gem path. There is often only narrow choices for specific gems to connect, while others have a much wider range of directions of where to go. Notice the ones with very little choices or path of directions to go, you know, for the statistics.

Well, that's all of the tips I could think of the various games for now, I think. I don't think I could think of any more much. Other games aren't really strategic and just rely on pure practice or just reacting very quickly. Others are classic games, and I bet there are instructions or tips everywhere on the internet, if not also books, on that type of thing.

Before starting this blog for the sake of passing time, I want to say I managed to sell a Cowboy Glowing Egg for 1 wanted ad for a 1 million. I got it out of the pot of gold. It's bizarre how sometimes you get rare items from players who donated it that can sell for big on the shop. So by this point, I named my shop LuckyFinds, just for often selling things I didn't think I would be lucky enough to find, har har.

Reunite

A nice line drawing game, as the trend goes in the app store these days. I find as tips that there are different ways to make these two reunite.

1. You can just make a slide going there as a classic tactic. Though it's not always necessary to make the slide go all the way. It can just add a short curve, and it already does the trick for the 3 stars.
2. Covering objects in a circle. This is to prevent obstacles from blocking off.
3. The wall. This involves just making a line wall next to one of the xoi to prevent them from falling off screen, may be combined with the slide.
4. The triangle bounce. If the xoi fall from a far enough height, they will bounce, and opposing inverted triangle walls can be made on each side for each to bounce at each other, but one would suffice sometimes.
5. The rectangle container. Involves just placing these two xoi together. Does not work on flat surfaces, but when in the air or on sloping surfaces, they might naturally fall to each other.
6. Half hold. When holding up lines, do only half or partial of the obstacles involved. Sometimes this is all that you need so 3 stars can be gained.
7. Hanging curtain. Like the rectangle container, but instead of drawing the whole container, if there are two posts, just put curving lines to hold rather than finishing it all together, to reduce lines for 3 stars.

Wallop

1. It helps to whack them in order of which they came out.
2. If not, then prioritize the ones with the highest scores.
3. Not much strategy in this game. Just do it fast.

Phantom Four

It helps to try to make four circles of your own in two directions, or more. This often involves putting your circles in the center of the board to maximize your reach. A bit like how it should be in chess.

Chess

1. If stuck with little pieces, use the enemy pieces against the king by checkmating the enemy with the blocked space given by the other pieces.
2. It helps to checkmate using chess pieces that can checkmate in different directions without being in the range of the king, which could just take the piece himself.
3. Similar to the first one, it helps to checkmate on the corners where the directions are blocked. Away from the center is a danger zone after all.

I'm no chess master, but whatever.

Defend the Castle
1. Sometimes it helps to target positions that can attack on both sides of land. Perhaps a mid point of land where two routes are on each side.
2. Sometimes a large quantity of small priced towers work out.
3. Other times a smaller quantity of higher priced towers work very well.
4. It helps to spread out the towers, instead of placing them in one specific area, so various areas can be hit at a time.

Apprentice Wizard

The computer doesn't always seem to recognize my drawing as certain shapes, especially with the circle and the lightning symbol. I find that the larger your drawing, the more likely the software will acknowledge it, from what I remember about this with computers recognizing images, but oh well.

Well, I didn't expect to earn 3 million MP in the first 10 days.

I first found a trash pearl from one of the free randomized chance games in the site. I forget. Probably somewhere in the garbage or sewer areas that I randomly got. What I was curious to find was 1 wanted ad was placed for this trash pearl, and what I got in return was 300,00 MP. After that, I strived to make sure to check if there was a Wanted ad for every random item I may get from the Pot of Gold or the randomized games, if not also from beating high scores in these games.

Though what I found was that there was rarely anyone who ever wanted to make a Wanted ad for nearly everything I found. The next was the Heart Violin from the Reunited Game, and with my puzzle solving hobbies, I was able to solve on a level high enough, on which someone wanted it for 250,000 MP. Just one person. I haven't seen an item wanted that had over 1 person who wanted it. I guess either I only find common items so far, or marapets users don't really make much use of wanted ads that much. Ironically, I got the item again in solving another higher level, so I have one for myself, but no one else wanted it at that point.

My strategy for free chance games is just to do it as often as possible, since the more you do it, the more likely you will get something good. About the only way you can control your luck. So I just schedule times where I do other things throughout the day, but I look back just to play some chance games again. Then I leave without doing much else in Marapets. After all, I know with statistics, the more tries, the more the possibilities are raised.

Last that happened was that I got the Essence of Lorius from the genie, which someone then wanted for 3 million MP. Wow. I sold it right away. I offered about 900,000 MP to my 100,000 in the bank, to maybe save up some 1 million.

Anyway, I'm non-binary (gender neutral) and I decided that the beard of my doll made it a bit awkward to dress up in girl clothes here. Not that anything was wrong with that combination if someone wanted it. It was just not for me. I wanted to dress up in both the male and female clothes sometimes. I chose the "other" option as the one for my account, but my doll was the standard male one for some reason. But I guess it just had to randomly choose one. Not sure how this decision affects my gameplay. I guess I see and get as prizes both male/female items in this game? Maybe it doesn't on others. I guess as a collector player, that's nice, because I get a wider range of items.

So I looked up online, and found on the Marapets wiki (a fan wikipedia of Marapets by players) that there was a treasure map needed for the barber that shaved stuff off. Maybe I'll change it to different styles of beard later, but I wanted to dress up my doll as more feminine now. So I did that. Managed to get a lot of Leprechaun quests for the RP, and it took about 111 tries, on which I got the "Exhausted Hidden Avatar," on which I think I'll probably use at some point being in Computer Science study for my college degree, but oh well.

I guess I can comfortably use more of the feminine clothes at the clothing rack I got now for free at randomized daily points. I guess. . . that's nice. It's weird. I don't get much of a need to dress up this way in real life aside from an average t shirt and jeans, but online, I always want my characters to be more expressive somehow.

Oh well.

If you would like to, people, please make more wanted ads if possible. You don't need to. Just. . . it would be nice.

The difficulties of social anxiety in this game.

I decided I can blog, but I don't think I can have much of a back and forth conversation with people in this game. I do have real life friends, but I don't see why people find a few real life friends scarier than potentially thousands of strangers watching online, but that's just me.

Researching some easy hidden avatars for example, some of those ones require some kind of exchange or back and forth interaction with the game, which is something I wonder if I can do.

Also some goals require some amount of social bravery involved. One for example includes that you have to join a beauty contest, but I don't think people vote for bronze type players anyway. I would only do it for the goal, because there is no hope for winning anyway. Wardrobe collecting isn't really my priority in this game, but perhaps I'll try it some day here more. That is, if I find a theme I would like.

It's also embarrassing to try for the Olympics over and over when I haven't won a single thing much yet. Might others see my results here? I don't know. About 20 health points now and about 10 points for everything else, with about 10-15 points for the elite gym stats, a week into this game, so I wonder when my stats would mean anything. I won against Talon in battle once, but that's it so far. I wonder when I should try for a Knutt Knight thing? When the stats average at 30? 50? Does it have to be a 100 at this point? I'm not sure. The game doesn't make it very clear.

Will I join a club one day? I don't know. It does seem to have to risk getting attached to people online, but because friendships are so difficult to maintain online, I might get attached only for I or others to leave very quickly. I wonder.

My strategy plan for this game at the moment.

Not sure who would listen to a beginner here, but I guess I need to kill time away from the worries of this world.

I suppose the major priority is simply to level up. Though, I do this by focusing all my energy up into one pet for the moment, instead of spreading out yet. Why? Because it would slow down the process of leveling up if I had to provide for the different stats of different pets without having the in game resources to handle them all yet. Also in random pet dailies, other pets would get stats increases, but I need to focus on just one pet for now.

In regards to gaining MP in this game other than through the free games, I figured I would keep a 100,000 MP collected in my first week in here in the bank, because this is the first membership that has a significant enough percentage to have much of a difference of interest for each day. Like in real life, I figured I'd budget some cash for emergencies. Prioritize a couple gym and elite gym practices, while making sure to get enough of an education for my pet in the school/university thing.

It is easier to buy items to pay for gym training from other users because on average it costs way more money to get them from various quests and missions at the moment. The irony is that to make more cash in the game, I would need more stats. To get more stats, I have to participate in quests. So for now, I'll just go sideways and go buy from other players for now. I also sell things in my shop, but no one has bought anything much so far. I just figured no one would buy from a beginner player at this point, no matter how much I drop the price because I'd be willing to get about anything bought at this point. Though someone in the market will always cheapen the price of an item by 1 to 600 points on average. I just got into my inventory instead a lot of the high price items I sold in the shop, then added it to my collection for now, because that would be good to prioritize at this point of the game.

If I finished enough of the gym training to what I'm feeling is right for the day, then I can proceed to collecting various things such as books and stamps, or gourmet food for example. Almost a 100 books about a week into the game, and with various collections, I'm a bit impatient the rewarding system is still in maintenance. But oh well. I also did research online on Marapets for Digital Avatars -- the easy ones, and it was interesting what I could find.

I think I'll focus on mostly receiving items from chance games that are free or have very low pay (Pixie Dust's 1000 MP only, by my standards). This is because chance games are a bit too risky to rely on, and like in real life, I think it'd be near impossible to win the lottery anyway, so better save of my cash here. I have a lot of bad luck. Why would I expect to get anything good in here much?

I was hesitant on changing my pet everyday through the operations or transformations items, but for the sake of the photography collection, I'm willing to do so. I also found. . . I got bored more easily with just one type of pet all the time. This would maximize how things are going, I guess.

At least. . . the games are quickly getting easier for me over time. . .
