Its finally happened! You've been asking for 10 years now and a Username Certificate has been released allowing you to change your Username. Visit the Town Hall in the City of Marada to use this item from the Account Upgrades shop. You can change your username as many times as you like but your older usernames will never leave you. If your username is 'Ian' and you change it to 'Ian2', the 'Ian' username will still work at the login page.

Other players will never be able to use your older usernames once they have changed. Both your new username and any of your previous usernames will still link to your account on the site search.



There are 3 new Pet Colours - Autumn Troit, Native Gobble and Rainbow Ideus.

All Vixen pets have FREE Gym and Elite Gym training until October 8th.

The limited edition Account Upgrades shop has new random, retired & restricted Vixen Potions on sale until October 8th. These will never be released again.

There were over 700 Eye & Face Makeup items that actually only had 5 or 6 different styles. To add new styles of make up in future, we would need to add the item 178 times for every different colour. This made no sense, so have changed all of these items. No items were deleted, they were instead changed to either Eye or Face Makeup Colour changing items, a new type of Eye or Face Makeup or new colours of Hair Dye and Eyebrow Tint.

A new celebrity, Michael Jackson, has been honoured at the Lowlyhood Walk of Fame. There are new 'MJ' celebrity clothes that are now avaliable for FREE at the Clothing Rack. Five new Michael Jackson Hair Styles have been added to the Salon. There are also new gloves, belts, hats and shoes on sale in various parts of the site.

The Restock system for the main shops in Marada has been updated. You may have noticed we have replaced the old, easily abused security codes with newer ones that will guarantee only genuine players can buy the items. Codes will only show on certain items - rare, expensive or unbuyable items. As items decrease in value or demand, the security code will be automatically removed. All other items will have no security codes at all but you can only buy one of the same item every 30 seconds.

The new codes also mean that we can make Restocking more interesting. All shops can now restock items of up to rarity 40 - meaning that there are some super rare items that will only show up a few times a week or month! There are 83 new items now restocking in several different shops.












All Quests have been updated. We have increased the rewards of all quests. The layout has also been improved, with the 'Check Price' feature making it easier and faster for you to complete quests. We have also removed the old codes from quests and replaced them with the newer codes, which will only randomly show up.

Marapets is now back to normal. A week ago our DNS crashed while under attack and because it was old, we upgraded it. While upgrading that, our load balancer - which was even older and has been running constantly without any downtime for 8 years and 7 months - crashed too. It took hours to get it back online and fix it but after a couple of hours it was clear that it was dying and needed replacement. For no reason at all, as you may have noticed the past few days, it would work as normal and then suddenly lag, hang or timeout. This has been happening for the past few days, getting worse every hour - we were literally watching its disks fail one after one.

Finding a replacement this fast was not easy, especially being a weekend and getting it set up and installed this fast was not easy or cheap! However, its done and we are now finished. It is brand new, faster and more reliable. We have also put a second one on order for redundancy in the future, so if one fails we have the other for backup. Thanks for your patience :)

We would like to apologise for Marapets yesterday. While we are celebrating the fact that Marapets hit a decade, yesterday was our servers reminding us of the fact that some of them are 7 or 8 years old! Our load balancer, which has been really good to us for the past 6 years and 8 months, crashed and yesterday was doing whatever it wanted, whenever it wanted. Yesterday we just had to wait it out until the DNS records updated, which can take 24 hours or longer sometimes - anyone who cannot still load Marapets should restart their router, PC and flush their DNS. We've ordered a replacement that will be set up as soon as we get it. Anyway, here is the new Moonlight Troit!

The Hair Dye Shop in Lush Lake is now restocking 79 new Eyebrow Tint items. They are the same colours as hair dye and can be added to your wardrobe to change the colour of your character's eyebrows.

Yuni Brows has just been released in Lowlyhood. Visit with a Yuni Brows Coupon and you can have your character's eyebrows shaped! You can win Yuni Brows Coupon from the Hump Racing quest in Kamilah Desert.



The Upstairs of Baspinar's Castle map is no more. We have removed this old, pointless map. The Barber and Salon have been combined into a new and improved Salon in Lowlyhood.

We would like to apologise for the past 10-12 hours of Site Loading Issues. It was completely out of our control. Our DNS server was under attack from a spam bot and crashed. The server is really old and didn't want to boot up again. It has taken all this time to get a nice new replacement server! The attack has been blocked and we have scheduled an upgrade of our firewall and load balancer for next month to prevent it in the future.

The Undying Woods map has been revamped. This world is almost 10 years old and has hardly changed since then! Here is the new world map, and how it looked when Marapets first opened on August 15th 2004...
