Endless War

Basically, there are several children across the world with unbelievable powers. The Government, learning of these gifts, grow fearful of war and turmoil, and abduct the children from their own homes.

A week later, the gifted awake to find themselves on the shores of a large, unmapped island. This island is bountiful with food and animals, but, deeply afraid, they revert back to gender-biased times, splitting into two tribes; Females and males.

With all their pent up fury at the world which has betrayed them, the tribes have declared war on one another, and often there are surprise ambushes, kidnappings and fights. One female and one male are chosen as leader of the tribe, and, save them, it is treason for one gender to pass the boundary lines of the opposite one.

Will this war continue until they murder one another, or could the tribes possibly band together to take on the world?

Rules: Mara-rules apply.
Violence is permitted.
The tribes also live quite primievilly, in lean-to's and caves.
Each power can only have ONE user. That doesn't mean one male and one female, just one human. The gifts are unique. Thanks!
All close friends (you should know who you are, if you are still about) have the same power as me!

Potential Thief

When the world was ripe and fresh, bright with new ideas and creations entering the world in all their glory, the Universe decided to create five leaders; One to keep peace for each creature.

First was Merman, a tall, two legged man who's body always seemed to have a strange green pallor to it. He was blessed the gift of water control, the ability to breath underwater, and was fluent in all languages. Merman was the leader of the Sea and all it's inhabitants.

Second was Harpy. Harpy had a feral beauty, grey wings sleek and glossy, eyes sharp and bright. The Universe granted her music, keen senses and wit, and the gift of the air. Harpy kept peace over all sky creatures.

Next was Elf. Elf was of precise and stunning beauty, with silver hair and misty eyes. He was slightly vain, and the most independent of his brethren, yet also secretive. He was presented with the power of Earth, beauty and weaponry, and Elf was in charge of only one kind of creature; The Elves.

Fourth was Witch, a tall, faithful figure. Blond hair tumbled down Witch's back, and intelligent blue eyes surveyed the world. Witch had great ability in potion-making, the weather, and was also know as the Crafter, for her delightful craftsmanship. Witch proudly led her children; Sorcerers and Mages, and the beasts of pure magic.

And last was Demon. Demon took many forms, and it was rare for even his brethren to spy him in his natural form. In this shape, his skin was blood red, eyes crimson, and long hair like fire. Demon was ashamed of his evil looks, and of the seed of betrayal within him that the Universe had surely planted. Demon was given the power of death, the hot embrace of fire, and could shape-shift. He led the Undead, and the shadows.

Though the five sisters and brothers lived in Harmony for years, it was not to last. As was predicted, the tendrils of hate and jealousy began to consume Demon, and the poor creature could not fight destiny. Unknown to the others, Demon steadily grew darker and more powerful, becoming perfectly insane in his little Underworld of pain and death.

Demon decided he'd had enough. Why was he, the most powerful and deadly of them all, forced to hide himself away from their pretty world, and rot with the dead. Why had the Universe gave him such a ghastly fate, whereas his siblings were granted powers others would die for. He gathered his ever faithful undead, with Shadows in tow, and for the first time in recorded History, left the Underworld.

But it was not to kill Merman or Harpy. No, Demon was not interested in the death of Elf or Witch. He had more devious plans to take care of, and instead he managed to flit within his siblings, and wipe their memories clean.

Without their special leaders, for the rest of the world were certain they were dead, they had no choice but to surrender, and Demon lavished in the power, silently and patiently waiting for the day when he would once more meet his sisters and brothers, and if they'd even know of their hidden powers.

Far off, the four siblings awoke for, what they felt, the first time. Appalled and entranced by their strange and beautiful appearances, the four set out for answers, trying to fill in that gaping hole in their memories that they don't even know is there.

Rules: I doubt any of my old friends come on much anymore, but if you do - you know who you are - you have the power to let people join, start, explain, kick people out etc (:
No GM, PP, the like.
No romance, unless in my absence of Mara romance has suddenly been allowed :3
You can make other kind of followers and creatures up, so long as they fit into a category of the five!
Please only pick one of the five rulers to play.
Don't think there's much more, so.... Enjoy.

Shades Children

In a futuristic world unlike our own, Myrmidions stalk the streets were cars stand still, keys in the ignition, as Wingers screech and tear from the sky.

The world has changed. Changed for the worse.

But first, let me tell you about the change...

Five years ago, on a Thursday morning, children woke up to find mothers... gone. The same for fathers, grandpas and grannies, older siblings... Everyone over the age of seventeen was gone.

Scared, the children searched outside. No, the car was still there. No notes indicating the disappearances. The adults had vanished.

Not long after that, a bus trundled along, and some men in white suits called out to the children, beckoning them to come aboard. The children were relieved to see these older looking people, and climbed on. Some were smart enough tro stay in the houses and hide. They were the lucky few.

The captured children were sent to The Dorms, where they were harshly treated and tortured. When girls reached a certain age, they would be forced to give birth to another child, then disposed of. No one was allowed to live past seventeen.

They called your seventeenth birthday your sad birthday, as that was when you were taken to the Seven Overlords, and given to the meat factory, a large building where they sliced up children and used the body parts to create the Creatures.

Soon, the sun was blocked out by clouds, and you couldn't stand in a street without being in danger.

But all was not lost, however, when a mysterious man, a mysterious /machine/ began a force to defeat the Overlords.

Shade, a machine with the mind of an intelligent man stored within, set up a base in an abandoned submarine near a port. The few free children came to him, and he divided them into groups. The groups would be sent out for dangerous missions to retrieve instruments and information. Some did not return.

Shade calls them his children, and they trust Shade very much.

But is Shade the saintly hero he seems to be, or is he delivering them all to death...

Note: I forgot to mention Change talents. After the Change, some children gained strange powers, such as telekinesis or mind abilities. It was rare though, so don't have all your characters having one. Leiard has the ability to heal minor wounds.

Groups: Group 1: Eva

Overlords: Silver Sun:
Red Diamond:
Black Banner:
Eva
Green Emerald:
Gold Moon:
White Jasmin:
Blue Topaz:

Creatures (We all play creatures):

Myrmidions: These have the similar appearance to a man, but their skin is borwn and leathery, eyes yellow and small. They have two jaws with massive teeth, and are extremely strong. They almost always wear the uniform of their Overlord. Myrmidions are only ever found in groups of seven.

Wingers: Wingers also have a slight similarity to man, but are skinny and have long jaws and no eyes. They have piercing calls which can deafen those who hear it, and bat like wings. Also, they have long tails. Wingers fly in flights of five.

Trackers: Trackers are always in trios. They are at least seven feet tall, and wear long coats. Their noses are flat and massive, with two large flaps. Trackers can track down any child within a distance, and when they do, they scream three times.

Ferrets: Ferrets live in the sewers, and come out at night. There are usually nine at a time. They are eleven feet long and have long black fur. Their legs are short, but the Ferret is stealthy. They travel on all fours.

Drones: Basically they resemble humans, but the eyes take up most of the face. Drone are in twos, and are the worker of the Meat Factory. They are emotionless.

And, that's about it. Yes, it is rather confusing at the start. If you have any enquiries, don't hesitate to ask.

*Withered Moon ( warning: it's a long one! )*

Setting: This place is the place of myths and dreams. The Kingdom of Lunar. There are several places that lay in this kingdom. One is the Witches Lair, a deep marsh that tangles in a mood of somber lives and the wind breathes forlorn hope. Another is Sundance Field, the agricultural producer for this kingdom - the sun never sets on this field, it always just dims with varied light. The trees here are the only place to find golden leaves and red leaved bushes. Sundance Field is protected by the Ghost Whisper sea; A sea that is said to capture souls into the depths of it's water. No one dares to produce food from the ocean afraid of the dead's poison.

Fairy Forest is the biggest forest that connects all the lands together. Home to many odd and deadly creatures, meant to demoralize men and tear men into pieces; both physically and mentally. Nightmares Beach is said to be the birth place of crime. The guards are just as corrupt as the citizens - forcing prisoners into gladiator styled fighting. The biggest trading port town is Abandoned Weaver, which is fledged by Fairy Forest and is protected by its thick stone walls. The Ghost Whisper Sea bleeds into the heart of Abandoned Weaver, and something that lies beyond the town and the forest is Graveyard Wastes. A dead meadow of plants and creatures that are sickly mutated and dying. A place where undead creatures never seen before breed and thrive. No man could survive. Somewhere even beyond the Graveyard Wasters is a place that Lies Just Before Fog.

Plot: The warriors of this world are none to celebrate. As ruthless as their lands, they protect citizens just as much as they terrorize them. There are a few selfless beings in this world, yet none that are known and none that are celebrated. In these times though, the citizens could not surivive without their warriors. No one knows how these beings became so much stronger than normal creatures. The warriors are surrounded by myths of how they sprung from the fog. In the emptiness when the fog sits still you can see a building, and they say the warriors at young ages where dragged off by their fellow men into the fog to become the worlds protectors.

The fog settles in during the night; freezing over the world in thick blankets of it's clammy miasma. You hear whispers from the fog. Most likely the calls of the souls that were lost in it's cold embrace. The only people who can see the fog in their dreams are the ones who have hidden their secret from their families, wives, or other people they love. The fog seems to enter their dreams freezing and seizing whomever they were thinking about. The unconscious mind tries to snatch back the image, but the fog is too powerful. The body and the rest of the soul feels colder now. In the distance you see shadows in the fog the others are here as well. A strange flicker of a man, older than time itself yet surrounded by power, and then the figure approaches. His very being seems to be created from differing wisps of mist, and by his hip is a cane, bones from varying animals clinking as they swing together.

"Welcome, welcome, welcome," said the figure from the fog.
None of the warriors are expected to answer nor are they expected to make any reply. They are just to stand there staring at one another only longing to be placed back in their own body. "You know why I come," the figure of fog said, "That is good, which means I do not need to explain the duty and contract you have to me."

The Figure of Fog stared around at each shadowy figure. Their seemed to be a smile on his airy face. "You remembered I raised you and took you into my home," Figure of Fog said, "You are my children, and resided in my tower for many a year. Children have a contract to their father's, binding and more legal than even the King's law. You were chosen as young babe's, sacrificed to my being, and I took you in. I nourished your talents, my children of many races, and once deemed ready, cast you from my tower to do various odd missions. Once they were completed, I relinquished my hold on you... temporarily." Figure of Fog stared at the ground for a moment realizing he was explaining when he said he wouldn't. He placed a transparent hand on his grey beard, and wondered how to go about the news.

"I want you to come home," Figure of Fog sighed, "Then I shall explain why I call for you, it is of importance because I say it is." Figure of Fog disappeared and the fog seems to retreat from your dreams. But not before showing you another quick image of a tower, which spears through the lying mist and is littered with many windows. "I hope you haven't forgotten home," Figure of Fog said before fully disappearing.

Your dreams or nightmares are back in place, but you will not be able to forget the invasion of the fog. When you awake you know your duties and you know what you must do. You must tell your family you are leaving for the fog. They fear for you, but they shouldn't - they do not know about these strange dreams. And they shouldn't know. It keeps them safer from the fog, and it keeps them safe from Figure of Fog; your father.

~

You for a long time have been a warrior of the fog. When there was no need for you, your Father let you out to live the way you wanted. And now he is calling for you.
What could be so important this time?

Many of you detest your father, and are repulsed by the simple thought of returning to the fog, though you must - your being will not let you turn your back on the fog.

But there are some of you who longed for the fog. Begged your father not to send you into the world; begged your father to keep you. Now that your father has called, are you glad in anyway? Or do you reject what he says because he wouldn't listen to your pleas?

CLASSES

Enchanter - Most cases they are the ones creating the blades. They are good to have around because they can quick fix your sword and armor while camping and traveling.

Skinners - A not so pleasant name for a warrior. But it was built to bring in fear in their enemies. They specialize in brutal combat with heavy weapons that are meant to intimidate and demoralize the enemy. Thus where the name came from. They'll make you jump out of your skin if your a frightful sort.

Knives - The more "knightly", if you want to use that word, warrior. Who fights with fast or normal cutting weapons. He's meant to fight with honor, but brutality all the same. With swipes to behead enemies. They still demoralize enemies. And at times make companions out of enemies that are to afraid to stand up to the Knives. But all in the end an enemy is an enemy and they'll be killed after they do your deeds.

Birdy - These are the little messengers of the group. The birdies do a lot of sneaking and spying around. They have deadly poisons if they are caught in a rut with an enemy and powerful truth serums. The Birdy can get any information they don't need to be tall and frightening to strike the information out of you.

Overseer - The "rangers" of the group. They use bow and arrows and small sharp objects. They are known for their intelligence in building their own weapons. The only one of the classes that takes tools from junk and makes unique and stable weapons. Of course the weapons can still be enchanted by an Enchanter if you please.

Shadowalker - The "assassins" of the group. Hiding in the dark, coming up behind enemies. They also use the same abilities as an Overseer in the sense that they make their own efficient weapons. Though many prefer the
weapons forged by the great Enchanters.

Connectors - You connect to the spirit energy of nature. You can control the elements around you. You do not have a religion to these spirits nor do you worship them. Simply you know how to manipulate them and make them your ally. You call upon the aid of the Spirits.

Spiritualist - You are more connected to your religion. Your superstitions help you sense danger and the gods are pleased by your pray and worship. Your abilities are mostly healing and ways to influence people's personality. Such as demoralizing them or even raising their morale so high they follow and your protect you.

Ritualist - You are the most connected to your religion you may not as well live in this world. The gods are extremely in love you. They praise your full devotion praise and worship. Your abilities are mainly connected to death and much more closer connections with the spirits.

Races

Royal - Appearance: Tall unusual people. They wear ceramic mask on their faces. The more wealth you are the more extravagant your ceramic mask is. Usually they are very circus like with bright painting and odd expressions that look unusual almost alien like. They wear thick robes made of fur or leather also very extravagant with many feathers coming out of large colors, or sequins rolling around the front. Some even have glass stuck to their robes. When expression emotion, it's usually the paint on their ceramic mask that dripped down into emotion. But their face makes no movement. Their faces always look so still.

The woman usually have long well painted nails and the men have them well manicured. Their skin is usually white like ceramic, but also at times seem to have a fleshy side to them.

They have regular hair oddly enough. In all kinds of odd colors. In most cases their hair is a color that is a slight variant of the color of their mask. If they have a light green mask then their hair is going to be a darker green color.

Information: These are the inhabitants of Abandoned Weaver. Masterminds of trade and travel. They know how to barter well. But for the lack of their movement they aren't the fighting type. They usually posses magical properties. They are the first race of magical abilities. All though here it isn't magic, rather spiritual power. How close you can get yourself to the rift beyond normalcy? In their case because of their odd rituals and superstitions they have the most magical balance. In most cases persuasion
magic and healing magic. Do not steer them wrong. Of course they can also have the aid of those long since dead, as well as cast some pretty hefty magical elements.

Government: The Royals government is all controlled by business. They are a heavy trade town and their survival is solely based on trade. If they do not trade they do not survive. In most cases they can provide the world with fish and other seafood projects because people do not fear the Snakey River, the way they do the sea. Business is the government and one giant business controls all the small business as well as all the laws the city must abide too.
Theft is a hefty punishment in this town.

Divinity - Appearance: Usually with a height range of 5-6 feet as average these inhabitants are odd. Their skin is made of flesh, but their veins glow brightly and they stretch across their body like bright bands anyone can see. Leaving them unusual sickly pale blueish skin...of course there are several occasions where a golden woman is born, blond hair. Their eyes bleed a blue bright light with no pupil or any indication that their may be a soul behind the eyes. Their hair is also a strange light that flows in the wind and waves as well. They usually wear clothes that cover most of their body. The only thing not covered is their face, due to superstitious beliefs of covering your face. Their clothes are usually made of leather dyed dark colors, sort of like tight jumpsuits made of leather with odd ornaments. The ornaments are made from their enemies bones or organs, due to spiritual beliefs.

Information: A warrior species who enjoy blood and death. They have grizzly beliefs and grizzly rituals. Very close to ancient Celtic Druidism beliefs. They have the beliefs of equal fairness to please the gods. If they find out anyone is more wealthier then anyone else they are imprisoned and forced to fight in their Colosseum known as the Nightmare Crawl. They are not the kindness of races. But they also not the most ruthless. Many of them carry somber expressions and there seems to be a slow tranquility about them. They are the masters of making bewitching weapons and fighting with blades.

Government: There is a king who lives in the castle. But the castle is ransacked and there is no wealth; he is imprisoned for eternity to have no lover nor power, just live in his barren castle. His decisions are based on their ritualistic beliefs. No matter how much a punishment may sound injustice he cannot change it, because everything has been set by the rituals and cultist beliefs.

Racna - Appearance: The women are larger than the men, about twice as big. They have skin as white as the moon and the spider part of their bodies is black and hairy, with six very long legs, the arms count as the seventh and eighth limbs. Their blood veins and vessels can be seen clearly through their skin, and their blood is the blackest substance ever to exist, so their skin looks cracked and broken. For hair, the colors are usually black, grey, or silvery-white. The women???s eyes are solid black, but they lighten as they grow older, because all of them grow blind with age.

The men are about the same as the women, except they are smaller and their human skin is light grey, and the blood veins and vessels also give off the appearance of cracked and broken skin. The men have solid white eyes, because they are born blind. The men of their ancestors sacrificed the men???s sight for the power of the gods when this world had only just begun.

Information: The woman of this race are the fighters, fierce and fearless, they are. They do not hide behind shields or armor, so their top-half is usually exposed. They duel-wield long scimitars. The women are very prized amongst their race.

The men are the spiritualistic ones, the ???magical??? ones. For their power they must pray and make sacrifices to their gods. These sacrifices are usually to empower or protect their women warriors and protectors.

The women that are too weak to be fighters and the men that are too dumb to understand the power of the gods are the diggers and miners. They mine the precious stones and ores of the land as they expand the tunnels. Without them there would be no armor, weapons, jewelry, or coal to warm the houses during the cold season. A troop of their women bring the stones and ore to the surface, because no one from the other races is allowed into their home, which is underground in the Abandoned Meadow. The race hates outsiders, but amongst each other, there is a bond, a love like no other.

Government: Their government is a monarchy. Their queen has a council she goes to when she must make any important decisions. A council of men for laws and a council of women for battle plans. Punishments for crimes are dealt out by the queen as well. She is merciful to her people, but to trespassers, that is a different story. For things she can???t decide, not even with the help of her councils, they turn to the gods for guidance.

Nebulan - Appearance: Tall, slender, pale humanoids that all share one thing in common; they have wings. Large, angelic wings sprout from their backs in various colours, although mostly white. All of them are garbed in cloth, wrapped around their forms, often doing nothing more than hiding their genitalia.

Information: The shepherds of the clouds, they guide them where to go and release their rain upon the lands, or to move away from a certain area so it can receive enough sunlight. Because of the this, they are all Connectors, and are the only race that are able use a spell script that controls the clouds. They live in the sky, almost never coming down to the ground, usually only to give birth and raise their children to the point where they can fly. At first they do this by flapping their wings, but later on most of them learn how to keep themselves afloat by manipulating thermal updrafts.

Ancient beyond reckoning, they were here before most (or all) of the other races were here, and have been the caretakers of the sky for as long as anyone can remember, and probably even beyond that. Once, they were worshipped as gods of the sky, but those times have long since passed.

Government: Their hierarchy is based on power; the stronger the Nebulan, the higher his position. While there are only few of them left (perhaps a few dozen in the entire world) they still adhere to this system. The weakest, the ordinary cloud-shepherds that can do little more than move clouds and make it rain make up the largest part of the population, and always have. Their wings are as white as virgin snow, and so is often their hair.

The second level is those with the sky-blue wings, who are able to summon storms, but usually perform a commanding or overseeing position and direct the white-winged. Only this rank, and upwards, have any offensive abilities, being able to strike their foes with lightning.

The third level have crimson wings and usually operate on their own whim, powerful enough to ravage the land with tornadoes, if they so please... which is fortunately rare.
Of the highest level there is only one, their King, who has wings as black as the night and is capable of summoning hurricanes, the most impressive and dangerous (on a large scale) of all weather patterns, and is worshipped by the rest of the Nebulan as a god.

Rune - Appearance: The Runes are a brutal race, with little compassion or sympathy for anyone, even ones of their own kind. A Rune in it's prime can be over 7", but that is if one lives long enough. The skin of a Rune is thick, and of a grey brown tone, looking unhealthy and scarred from birth. Save the little amount of females in the Runes, they all have short, wirey, trimmed beards of a silvery colour. No other hair sprouts from the body, so the beards are tended to with care. A pair of short white tusks protrude from either side of the mouth, which only grow to about the length of a human thumb, so, all in all, are rather useless in the fight for survival. Runes usual attire is leathery armor, metal if they can get their hands on any left over from weapon making, and their clothes are roughly crafted, sometimes a full animal skin is draped across their broad shoulders. The whole build of a Rune is big, bulky, and thick with muscle. They greatly resemble boars.

Information: Runes were made for battle; For harsh climates and murderous wars. Knowing this, they are a race who enjoys the thrill of a good fight, and are reckless with their own lives, often throwing themselves head first into dangerous situations without thinking it out. They were originally a defensive people, what with their tough skin and cunning wit, but have grown to also be offensive, provoking clashes of wills and strength.

As mentioned above, Runes are a race made mostly of male organisims. Females are closely watched and in the situation of a new female being born unplanned, they are immediatly killed. Only three females are allowed to live at once in this race, and they never battle, instead are only used to relieve ones self and reproduce.

Government: The Runes are all of equal status, save the leader, and this 'peaceful' arrangement often leads to an outbreak of fights, as Runes try to discover who is the better of the two. They are mindlessly violent, with no real reason but the memories left in their heads to fight. Yet they are a generally smart race. The leader is known as Boar, and he is blessed with an ability to create unbiased views of situations and persuade his people to refrain from attacks.

Other: Runes are of the Skinners class, and the mere sight of one makes almost every race fear for their own life. A Rune can overpower many when in his battle state. Also, they are not an awfully spiritual race, and only respect Boar, seeing him as the current father to the race.

Caged Demons

Off the coast of a small village named Sarayan there is a large, black island. Ashen trees bend in the wind, a grey pebble beach rolling down to the water, screechings of pain and hunger as the creatures within. Centuries ago, a group of sorcerors created powerful shields around the island so the beasts, ravaged with death and sorrow, could not escape.

But what are these beasts, you ask? Well, they are none other than demons.

These demons take two forms; A shadow of swirling darkness that can flit around unseen by mortal eyes, or it's original form. Usually, the demons' original form is some sort of strange animal or mythical beast.

But, strong as the barriers are, every full moon one demon squeezes around the magic and flies away. Many do not make the journey across the churning sea; They are tired, starving and fraught with excitement. Those that do make it lay low in their shadow form, sneaking silently into children's rooms and slipping into their very being.

This child will go through weeks of pain as his or her body transforms to match, in some form or another, the appearance of their demon. If the will of the child is strong, it can control the shadow within it, and become a hero of some sorts, helping humanity. These are known as the Heroes, and have less demonic features than others.

If the child had strong will, but the demon matched it's power, they could strike up a 'deal', and work as partners. As years past, these children become attached to their partners, and they both live to destroy the Heroes. These children are simpy known as the Demons, and have many aspects of their partner. Also, their demon hardly ever goes into shadow form, preferring it's original.

Lastly is the Ruled, which are the weak children who have fallen to prey of their demon. They are an empty husk of what they use to be, and barely speak up. They look extremely alike to their demon, and have no relationship at all.

So, the Heroes protect humans from the Ruled and the Demons. Basically, they are all against each other. But, what if something so terrible were to happen that the three groups would be brought together in a bid to save the world from utter horror.

What if the Demons all escaped from the island that held them?

Note: You can also be a child about to change, or a free demon that is off the island but not found a child yet.

Rules: Violence is permitted.
Romance is not, as you should already know.
Please only have four characters maximum, child and demon count as two.
Be friendly and others will respect you.
Literate please, which means at least a paragraph for posts.
Have fun!
It's not set only on Demon island and Sarayan, it's just that most of the children taken by demons are from there.

Seven Hybrids

The land of Gythan was once lush and green, forest sprawled across the world, river streaming and carving through the earth.

Gythan was guarded by the seven Hybrids; Humans with the appearance and abilities of an animal, humans that could also transform into their animal.

Twelve years later, the seven original hybrids slowly came out of hiding and teamed up with new spirits; Young and fresh animal souls that gave the hybrids strength and youth. But along with being 'reborn', the hybrids memories are wiped.

Now, the seven hybrids have to traverse across the thousands of miles of wastelands and find one another, along with possible human partners, and gain the skills they had had twelve years ago in order to storm the dragon castle and overthrow the King Thyla.

Mythical Protection Society

Centuries ago mythical creatures roamed the land, free from the shackles that now bind them. They were respected, praised, and feared. Not a soul would trespass upon their lairs, fear of being killed or dishonoured heavy on the humanity of the world.

But with time, came courage. Knights would set out to murder dragons for sport, unicorn horn became a most prized and essential object of medical treatment that was a must have for doctors. Slowly, as the tendrils of humanity snaked across the Earth, the mythical creatures were destroyed with it.

Eight people realized what was happening, and decided to stop it. As years went by and mythical creatures retreated into shadows, the eight spread rumours about them, rumours which made people think that the creatures /were/ myths, and not real. Humans became afraid to speak up if they saw something utterly supernatural, embaressment blinding them.
The creatures thanked the eight, blessing there descendants with knowledge and power to communicate with there kind.

~

Now there is a society across the land. There are little left, only a handful still in Britain, a little over three hundred scattered across the Earth. Each member of the society knows of the existence of mythical creatures, and there job is to protect the beasts that nestle within there hometowns.

Each member is named a 'companion'. Every companion is linked with a different mythical beast, trained by the eldest of there kind for many years.

But now the mythical creatures are growing restless, extremely angry with humans for polluting there once beautiful homes. The society have been able to restrain them on the words that discovery of the mythical world would be fatal, but many have succumbed to the words of an unknown shapeshifter named Kullervo, who promises them land or sea in exchange for something... the obliteration of humanity.

Rules, or some knowledge you should know:

Being assessed: If your character is still a child and has not yet developed his/her talent, then they need to be assessed by the most powerful society member within reach. The assessment consists of something very simple. Laid in a circle are four things that represent the four groups of mythical beast. They are placed at compass points in the room. A crystal for the Elementals, a live raven for Flyers, a snake for Reptiles and Sea Beasts, and a mouse for Two and Four Legged Beasts. The child must stand and turn a full circle, palms outstretched, and whichever object or animal reacts to the turn, is the childs group.

Mythical Ceatures

Elementals: Rock Dwarves: Gentle and seclusive, their faces are all different colour, as they have been carved from rock. They usually have there hoods up to cast thier faces in shadow. Rock Dwarves can sense human companions anywhere, so long as their feet are on Earth.

Fire Imps: Little fairy type creatures with the power of fire. They sometimes flicker in and out of exsistence in high winds.

Water sprites: Creatures that look like shimmering water until touched by their companion, then they solidify into a complete human form.

Reptiles and Sea Beasts: Krakan: Massive underwater beasts who care only for themselves and companions. Have many arms.

Dragons: Giant scaly beasts that breath fire and have wings.

Selkies: Humans on dry land, seal in the water. Amazingly beautiful.

Flyers: Storm Birds: Giant raven like creatures that have electricty power. They are very aggresive.

Sirens: Twisted, yet beautiful, birds with a womans head. They sing to lost sailors and charm them into the sea.

Pegisi: Beautiful muscular horses with wings. Extremely skilled flyers.

Two and Four Legged: Weather Giants: You can only ever see there legs from the ground. Weather giants control the weather, but with the weather it creates, mist is created.

Unicorns: Beautiful horses with long horns and the power to soothe dreams and heal.

Giant Bears: Bears taller than three men atop one anothers shoulders.

Giant Boars: Massive boars with amazing strength and skill at running.

Banshees: Handsome humans who can slink into the water and wail around peoples houses if someone within them is going to die.

Mentors: Every newly assessed child has training. They do this in rocky outcrops or desolate forests. They each have a mentor who will lead them to finding which creature is their companion, and the mentors have companions also.

Connections: Companions and mythical beasts can only speak through mind, but a companion can speak to any of his/her kind, i.e. a dragon companion can speak with all dragons. However, every species of mythical creature can speak to one another.

Rules: Four characters max please.
We all play Kullervo, as he does not come into the RP until the end.
If you have any questions or anything, just ask (:
No romance.
No PP or GM.
Please keep to the descriptions above about the creatures, unless you ask me. I don't want a fire breathing Selkie or something.
Enjoy!

I'll get around to doing this properly but for the time being I'll list the name's of the ones I'm doing... (:

Blaire1 - 'Gifted' with ice power

Name: Blaire Darkins

Age: Sixteen

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Personality: Friendliness is always something that comes naturally to Blaire. He is instantaneously liked by the vast majority of people who meet him. This is down to his charming nature, his compassion for his Pokemon, his respect for others and his concentration for whatever he has set his mind upon. Once Blaire has decided what course he is going in, he will not stop until circumstances demand it. However, the pairing of his mindless determination and fierce curiosity are Blaire's downfall, for obvious reasons.

Curiosity killed the cat, as they say.

History & Bio: At the age of eleven, Blaire awoke as a young, excited boy, expecting to recieve his first Pokemon; either a Totodile, Cyndaquil or Chickorita. His father was a close friend of Professor Elm, the renowned Pokemon expert in all of Johto. However, it was not one of the common starters graced upon him, instead it was an elegant, unknown beauty of a Pokemon - unknown to him at least - which the Professor had recieved from one of his overseas contacts. Elm had decided that the best thing for the Pokemon was to go to a trainer, a new one, and who better than the son of the man he was like a brother to. And so, Blaire met Absol, and named her Aisu.

In the five years that followed Blaire and Aisu grew closer and closer, until they felt bound to each other with something stronger than friendship, much strogner than love (Not that kind of love). They would easily give up there lives for one another, or traverse to the ends of the earth. When Blaire was thirteen, they came across a young, wounded Houndour, and thus Ares completed the trio.

However, Blaire soon grew bored of the similar scenery and repetitive battles and Pokemon species of Johto. On a wim, he greatly deplenished his money store by splashing out on a boat, tough but elegant in a rugged, sea-worn way. She was named 'The Dragonair' and Blaire immediatly fell in love. With three trusty crewmen by his side, and his beloved pair Aisu and Ares, he set out for new places, and brand new experiences.

Appearance: Blaire has always been tall. Just brushing six feet, his height makes him apear incredibly lean, although wiry muscle covers most of his body. His eyes are bright green, speckled with warm tones of brown and lined with deep black. His facial features are angular, with high cheekbones and a particularly square jaw, carefully shaven stubble accenting his defined jawline. His hair is a deep navy shade, and it protudes in odd, random ways from beneath a black bowlers hat (Strange, I know). His usual attire, along with his signature headpiece, is an old fashioned, pirate-like shirt, which billowing sleeves and clean, light material. Black, thick trousers are belted around his waist by a thick leather belt, a silver buckle carved like a simplified flake of snow gleaming in the centre. Heavy, dark boots envelop his feet, and fingerless gloves of a similar colour partially cover his hands.

Powers & Abilities: The ability to drive a boat with prowess... is that an ability? Or to love and care for his Pokemon that they follow his unquestionably and are stronely protective over him.

Absol - Blizzard, Ice Beam, Swords Dance, Slash.
Houndoom - Fire Blast, Crunch, Flamethrower, Dark Pulse.

Other: Has two Pokemon, five year old female Aisu, an Absol, and four year old Ares, a male Houndoom. Both, I'd say, are around levels fifty and sixty gamewise, not amazingly strong but tough enough to provide a challenge.

Name: Tyler

Age: Twenty

Gender: Male

Species: Gifted

Power One - He is half bear... (Is this alright? Hahaha I'll explain in Other)

Power Two - He can control plant growth/behaviour.

Appearance: Tyler is a massive man, with immense muscles. Due to steroid abuse - which was forced upon him as a teen (this can be developed in the roleplay) - Tyler is insanely strong. His chest is covered in a shaggy coat of dusty golden fur which extends to his waist and shoulders. His jaw is angular and their is a light stubble which covers it. Two bright emerald eyes gaze out at the world, and from within his mop of blonde hair poke two small ursidae ears, along with his human pair, which dramatically increase his hearing. He goes around in a pair of long khaki shorts and barefoot, as his feet have grown a rough layer of skin, and his toenails have hardened and blackened. Tyler is rather tall, brushing six and a half feet.

Personality: For all his enourmous stature and fearful strength, Tyler is nothing but kind. It pains him to harm anything, as he has joined with nature and harming any creature is like tearing a part of himself out. However, he can easily be angered and, when in a temper, his good intentions tend to be forgotten in the furious haze of wild power. He seeks to keep everyone's best interests at heart and is ruthlessly determined.

Other: Tyler has inherited some visual similarities to a bear, as seen in appearance, and his already huge strength is furthermore increased by this pairing. However, on his occasional angry outbursts he is under threat of a total animalistic takeover in which he becomes more beast than man.

Asisaril - Dragon/Demon boy

Tessa - Team Leader

Name: Fauna

Age: Seventeen

Gender: Female

Species: Gifted

Power One - Moon Control

Power Two - Ice

Appearance: Fauna's skin is a deep brown, and her hair is an even darker mass of loose curls. Her eyes are a startling silver colour, which of course is an abnormality unseen in any human, though it is due to her uncanny bond with the moon. She often ties a dark mauve leather band around her head to keep strands of her volumous hair from irritating her face. Fauna's usual attire is a purple tank top, complimented by black shorts and knee high leather boots. She will usually wear black gloves also.

Personality: Well, I could be vague and say that she does not have a personality, but of course that is impossible. Merely Fauna puts on a charade of blankness. She speaks only to utter requests or commands, or to answer direct questions, but when you get through to her she makes a most trustful companion. The only time she truly lets her emotions run free and wild is when she is alone, wrapped in her own solitude and the moonlight. Here, she will run and laugh and cry, where no prying eyes can judge her and hurt her, as she has been hurt before.

Other: Moon power is basically gravity, she can block out the moon and its light for a period of time. Of course, her strength with these powers vary with the moons cyles.

Lydia - Pokemon Trainer

Layleh - Witch

Luce - Wolf

Name: Aisu

Gender: Female

Age: The kind of age for a dragon that would be kind of early thirties for humans x3

Looks: An extremely long dragon, seemingly more like a snake, though her middle is thicker than that of a tree trunk. Her scales are a shimmering, flawless white, the scales lining her wings and eyes a tinged slightly blue. Her wings span for metres, the a deep, dense blue the colour of the bowels of the ocean. At her nose, she has long, ribbon like 'whiskers', should you call them that, which are at least five feet long, and are the blue of her wings. Her eyes are sparkling and piercing.

Personality: Extremely protective, and has a very strong sense of wrong and right. She is not easily stirred into a temper but, when provoked, can be frihgteningly outraged. She is rather wise, and not slow to scold younger dragons in the error of their ways.

Side: Good

Other: Not sure if dragons have specific things that they rule, but if they do, Aisu prefers the highest peaks where she controls the ice, hail and snow.

Name: Rhune

Gender: Male

Age: A younger dragon, around twenty, twenty one in human age.

Looks: A stocky dragon, with bulging muscles and huge wings. His tail is a brutal thing, longer than his body and lined with razor sharp bones, jutting the last third of his tail. His scales are a rippling purple-black. From his head rises two massve curved horns, and his eyes are blacker han night.

Personality: He'll begin as a kind of stereotypical 'bad' dragon, snappy, filled with hate and distaste for his purer brethren, but may change during the roleplay.

Side: Baaad

Other: A storm dragon, if it's alright (:

Name: Boar/Ranaag

Age: Three hundred and seven.

Race: Rune

Appearance: Boar is eight and a half feet tall, with a thin, wiry beard falling to his stomach in many nots, looking much like metal mesh. His eyes differ from those of the usual Runes, and are larger, a startling blue, unlike the black pig eyes of his people. His skin is thick and leathery, and a murky brown color, with stumpy tusks protruding from the corners of his lipless mouth. One of these tusks is cracked down the middle, the other is pearly white but blunt. Over his bald crown is the full, untreated head of a large boar, the tusks removed for other reasons, and it is sewn with thick black cords onto the back of his neck - to tell others he is leader. His hunch-backed figure is nude, save the filthy cloth wrapped around his loins, and he goes bare foot.

Personality: Boar is extremely compassionate and sympathetic - in comparison with the latter of Runes. When with those he knows, he is a laid back Rune, drinking, laughing, fighting, but when under the pressure of his leadership duties he becomes a roaring beast, with a firm hand and a stern, intimidating voice. He is the most powerful of his people, and all listen to him. People of other races tend to respect Boar, as he is the only reasonable Rune, and will listen to other sides of a war, unlike his people, who would attack and then deal with the consequences later.

Class: Skinner.

Weapons: The two tusks from the boar head were roughly carved by Boar himself, shaping the tip into a sharper point and dulling the base into a handle. These two ivory long-daggers are stuck into his loincloth for battle. Along with these, he uses pure muscle and 'wrestling' skills to fight.

History: Before becoming leader, when he resided in the tower of fog, Boar was known as Ranaag. Ranaag was extremely loyal to the Figure of Fog, and - as his core personality was that of a Rune - he would complete all missions without thinking of the consequences. This led to many an injury, which changed Ranaag perspective of the world, and how precious and fragile his life was. Later on, this gave a great boost in his ability to become leader of the Runes.

The last mission knocked Ranaag's confidence, yet improved his intelligence, greatly. The dangerously powerful being which him and his siblings were expected to fight against struck fear deep in his heart. It was all for the sake of some Goddamn books, in which Ranaag had no idea the power they held, but he was blinded by his love for Figure of Fog and was first to stand up against the foe. He was the first to be defeated, the knock in his confidence, and was embarressed by it. Ranaag redeemed himself by standing up again and helping defeat the beast for certain, but when the book was opened by Ruby, a fraction of the knowledge crammed within the pages seeped into his mind, thus increasing his own wit.

When his father's wishes - for him and his siblings to leave the tower - Ranaag was outraged, and foolishly challenged Figure of Fog to a battle. Of course, Ranaag's braun was defeated by the immense power and wit of his father, and the Rune broke down with emotion. He was slightly comforted by the fact that Ruby would suffer a much deeper blow than he would, but it did not soften the impact that Ranaag suffered. In the next few weeks, Ranaag became unusually close with Ruby and they were united in their fury at the father who 'loved' them.

Ranaag was ready to protest with all his might against leaving the tower which was his home, all he knew and loved, but his father once again used wits to plant ideas of leading his original race - the Runes - to prevail in survival. Ranaag, intruiged by the idea of becoming a father firgure to the Runes, forgot about his anger at Figure of Fog, and his strange alliance with Ruby, and departed from the tower immediatly, easily finding the Runes in Fairy forest. After finding them, and several battles to prove strength and worth to the race, Ranaag was accepted.

Ranaag was chosen two years after he joined their ranks to take part in leader training, along with six other formidable younglings. The training lasted over five years, and over the years the Runes who had chances of being leader would die in tests, or drop out from the hard work. Ranaag was the last one left, and with nothing to hold him back - Not that his mother was alive anymore, or that he cared about his siblings - he challenged the present Boar, who was over seven hundred years old, and won, claiming the spot for himself, and taking the title of Boar.

^Ranaag is specifically used for a certain RP plot which is why there are random things in his history!^
Some of the character's are really short... yeah I'll fix them :3
