My First Blog Story [CHAPTER 4 IS UP]

Chapter 1
Life doesn???t always goes as planned. Ever. And that goes for everyone. Well, except for me, Serenity Jessica Areanal. I have whatever I want since my parents own a large company. They aren???t billionaires, but they are still pretty rich. Edward and Rebecca Areanal, my parents, both love me, their only daughter, dearly and would give me anything I want. I have so many friends at school, but there???s only one that I can trust the most, Samantha Tronia. The teachers are very fond of me at my school, since I get straight AEE???s. The boys treat me like one of them because I???m one of the few who actually knows how to throw a football and play the sport. Basically, my life is perfect and nothing can ruin that ever. Until today.
???Are you pranking me? You???re kidding me, right? This can???t be happening now!??? I shouted, my eyes almost breaking into tears.
???I???m sorry honey, but we have to move to California for. It???s for the business,??? my mom told me to try and calm me down. She rubbed my back soothingly, something I loved for her to do ever since I was young, but right now I wasn???t in the mood for anything.
???I can???t believe you???re doing this to me! It???s the middle of school! I just can???t transfer into a random school right now! Can???t we move after I finish 7th grade? Or maybe even 8th grade, so then I can go to a high school there! Please???? I begged my mom. I just needed until then and then I can make up another excuse to stay here.
???Honey, we have to leave no matter what. Our company isn???t running as well and our last hope is to move to California. Listen, you can cry and beg, but the plan is set. We???re going to California by next week no matter what. Do you understand???? my mother was getting annoyed with me. I knew she has so many things going through her mind right now and I???m just adding on to it, but what was a girl going to do when she???s about to move halfway across the country with no one there that she knew?
???Is this the way you show that you love me? I can???t believe you can do this to me. Don???t you understand how I feel? Ugh!??? I stomped my foot and ran up the stairs with tears in my eyes. My mom didn???t call me since she knew I would calm down.
I slammed my bedroom door and locked it. No one was coming after me. I went onto my bed and cried into my Pooh Bear pillow. Just yesterday my life had been almost perfect. I had gotten an A on my book report and Samantha and I were going to a movie with Max, Riley, Tanya, and Ricky the next week. I guess I???ll never get to see that movie with them. I didn???t understand how life can become so much worst in one day. I would be losing all my friends and moving to the other side of the country in just a few days. I got out my Blackberry Pearl and called Samantha.
???Hello???? Samantha said into the phone.
???Hey, Sam. It???s me,??? I tried to say as normal as I can. Apparently it didn???t work.
???OMG, Ren! What happened? Why are you crying? Should I come over???? Samantha instantly started panicking.
???Yeah, can you come over? I have some stuff to tell to you,??? I couldn???t help myself. My voice cracked on the last few words.
???I???ll be over there in 10 minutes! Don???t worry! I???ll see you soon!??? Samantha said as she hung up the phone in her rush to get here. It was very convenient that her house was only a street down from mine. I started crying again as I waited for her to come and hear the terrible news.
Chapter 2
Samantha was here in only 8 minutes. She was panting as she came through the door, which meant she was running here, instead of walking. She was wearing sweatpants and a simple T-shirt that had a picture of the Beatles on it. Her eyes went wide as she saw me and my red-rimmed eyes.
???Ren! What happened? Tell me all about it!??? she demanded as she came and hugged me.
???Sam, I never knew that life can be so unfair. My life is ruined! Let???s go to my room and I???ll explain what is happening,??? I started to tear up again, but I quickly wiped away my tears before some can start rolling down my cheek.
???Ohkay,??? Samantha said as she followed me up the stairs.
Once we got into the room I sat on my bed and Samantha sat on the floor, just like we always did whenever she was over. I would miss these days when I move from Maryland. Just by this thought I started crying again, since I couldn???t control myself. Samantha was over at my side in a flash. She tried calming me down.
??? It???s alright Ren. I???m here for you. It???s going to be alright,??? Samantha coaxed me. She hugged me until I stopped crying and was able to start talking again.
???Sam, you???re the best friend I ever had and will have. And if we were ever separated you???ll still be my best friend forever,??? I told her, since I wanted an introduction before we get into the serious and sad things.
???Same here Ren, but we???re not going to be separated, right? So spill what???s been making you cry,??? Samantha tried again to make me tell her. I could tell she didn???t want any introduction.
???Sam, next week???Well, next week, I???m moving,??? I told her cautiously.
???Ren is this what???s been making you crying? Wow, you???re just moving! That???s it! Where are you moving to???? Samantha started smiling. Obviously she thought I???ll still be staying in Maryland.
???Sam, I???m moving to???California. Next week,??? I stared at Samantha???s face watching her reaction. Her eyes grew wide again.
???C-C-California? Why?! What?! OMG, Ren! Why are you moving there?!??? Samantha stuttered out of shock and surprise.
???It???s about the family company and stuff,??? I told her with a dead look.
???Ren! I can???t believe this! You can???t leave me here! When did you say you were going????
???Next week. On Saturday,???
???Ren! I really can???t believe this! I can???t believe you???re going! No! What am I going to do? Is it official???? Samantha asked.
???Yep. It is. I tried to talk my mom out of it, but her mind is already set,??? I told Samantha with a sigh.
???No! Then we???ll have to do something special with the time you have left here, don???t worry, I???m going to be here for you. Let???s go to the mall tomorr-??? Samantha???s phone rang as she was speaking. She looked at the Caller I.D and she mouthed to me ???Mom???, then she left the room. Samantha came back after about 5 minutes.
???My mom told me to come back home now. Apparently I was irresponsible and I didn???t tell her where I was going, so now she???s mad at me. Like really mad. She grounded me for a week,??? Samantha rolled her eyes.
???Well, I guess you should go. I wouldn???t want it to be longer than that. I???ll be fine! I???m going to be okay. Don???t worry about me,??? I said to Sam before she could refuse to go home with another excuse.
???Um???Well, fine! But I???m going to the airport on Saturday. I???ll beg my mom!??? Sam declared.
???Sam, you always know how to make me smile. Okay then. I???ll see you on Saturday,??? I said as I tried to put a smile on my face.
???Okay Ren! Bye! I???ll see you soon!??? Sam waved as she walked out of my room.
Chapter 3
Sam never actually came when I went to the airport. I was waiting and waiting for her to show up and then I got a text from her when I was in the plane saying, ???Sorry Ren that I couldn???t make it! I was getting ready to go and then I broke my ankle because I slid in the shower and I hit my head pretty hard on the floor when I fell. Really sorry I couldn???t make it???. I was going to text her back, but a flight attendant came by and told me that all electronics must be turned off. I turned it off and put it away in my backpack. I leaned back on my chair and I chewed my gum so my ears won???t pop. It was nice to have a Buisness seat instead of Economy. I heard something drop and I looked down to see one of the water bottles that were in the middle handrest had fallen out. The plane was already in flight, so we could take off our seatbelts. I took off mine and reached down to grab the water bottle. I almost had reached the water bottle, but the guy next took me already had snatched it. I looked at him for the first time since I was too busy reading Samantha???s text when he was seated. He was pretty cute. He looked tall and was Asian, but looked like he had some American blood too. He had black eyes vague freckles across his face. Also, he was a little tanned, but not too much. He was wearing a simple white T-shirt with khaki shorts, despite the weather outside of the plane. He was overall cute, especially with his smile that had one dimple.
???Hey, are you looking for this???? he held up the water bottle for me to see as I straightened up in my chair.
???Oh. Yeah. I saw it fell. I didn???t know that you already got it. That was pretty quick,??? I replied as calmly as I could. I didn???t want to embarrass myself.
???Yeah. I guess that???s what you get from playing football,??? he shrugged, ???Did you want some water????
???Sure. Thanks,??? I grabbed the bottle from his hand, making sure with no physical contact.
???Your welcome,??? he said and smiled that amazing smile.
???So, you said you played football? What position???? I asked him, determined to continue the conversation with him. Hopefully, he wouldn???t see that I was a little desperate to get to know him a little more.
???Oh. Usually quarterback. Do you play???? he queried.
???Yeah. Sometimes. I usually play wide receiver,??? I smiled at the times I played with the guys back in Maryland.
???Wow. Pretty impressive for a girl. Don???t take that offensively. I don???t see many girls who are interested in football,??? he smiled again and I couldn???t help but be lost for words.
???Thanks,??? I smiled my friendliest smile I knew. I could tell the conversation ended there. I was kind of sad that it ended so soon.
???So, if you don???t mind me asking, are you visiting California? Or are you living there???? he asked with honest curiosity.
???Well, I???m moving there now. I used to live in Maryland as you can see. What about you???? I would try anything just the steer away from this subject.
???That must be really hard for you. I remember I moved once. But I was little so it didn???t affect me that much. I was actually going to my relatives??? wedding there. And now I missed a couple days of school,??? he seemed as if he was now in his own world.
???Oh that???s nice,??? I commented. I wasn???t really sure of what I should say.
???This is funny. We???ve been talking for at least 10 minutes and I don???t even know your name,??? he said and I knew that he meant to ask, ???What???s your name???.
???It???s Serenity. You???? I asked him.
???Andrew,???
???That???s a nice name. It matches you,??? I said with complete honesty.
???As for you,??? he replied with his smile again.
Chapter 4
Andrew and I talked for a little while, but then we both felt a little drowsy. We fell asleep a little while after. As I was dosing off, I heard him move in his seat and then his head was kind of on mine since we were both leaning towards the middle and we didn???t put the middle separator out. I was shocked and instantly alert. He obviously was too.
???Oh! I???m sorry! I didn???t mean to fall on you like that!??? his eyes filled with shock.
???Uhm???It???s okay. I know you didn???t mean to. I was just kind of surprised,??? I replied like it was no deal, even though my heart was pumping faster than ever.
???I???m sorry! It won???t happen again! Sorry for scaring you,??? he apologized with complete sincerity.
???It???s ohkay. We should get to sleep now,??? I said, just brushing the issue aside.
???Your right,??? he said as he shuffled back into his sleeping position.
I pulled out the separator and fell asleep next to it.
I woke up to a tap on my shoulder. I heard my name being called from a distance. I began to come back into consciousness. As I opened my eyes I saw a pair of brown, curious eyes looking down at me. I realized it was Andrew and he was so close to me I, again, was startled.
???Oh My God!??? were the first words out of my mouth.
???I???m sorry! Again. It???s just that the food is about to be served and they wanted to know your order. I???m??? sorry to startle you again!??? he apologized as he returned to his seat in a rush.
???Oh, it???s okay. Thanks for waking me up, I was actually being hungry in my dream,??? I said to lighten the atmosphere around us. I order a baked salmon and in minutes it was right before me.
I looked to the side of me and I saw that he ordered the exact same thing. I thought to myself that this is awkward. Just to break the silence, I asked him what school he goes to, but I was still chewing on some salmon as I said that. He looked at me and held up one finger, signaling me to hold on for one minute. I felt embarrassed because even a boy had better manners than me. I was racking up all the old manner lessons I was forced to take as a little child. Sit up straight. Don???t talk with food in your mouth. Don???t cross your legs while you eat. Were all the things I could remember. I tried to think more, until another came to mind.
???Oh I go to Nohalson Middle School. I???m a seventh grader there,??? he replied, after he swallowed that piece, breaking my train of thought.
???Oh. Cool. I???m in seventh grade too. I don???t really know what school I???ll be attending though. My mom was keeping that a surprise from me,??? I made an annoyed face because first she ruins my life and now she???s keeping secrets? That???s just not right.
???So, are you riding the plane alone? Or are your parents here???? he asked me.
???My mom is in the other section. And my dad is already in California getting us settled,??? I replied with no enthusiasm at all. I mean, seriously, my life is already ruined! He???s the only thing that???s making it a tad better.
???Oh. Cool,??? he said, obviously not knowing how to continue.
???What about your parents???? I asked, sparing both of us from an awkward silence.
???Oh my dad???s in California and my mom is staying in Maryland for two more days,??? he answered my question as thoroughly as I did.
???That???s nice. How did you enjoy Maryland???? I asked Andrew, wondering if he liked Maryland as much as I did.
???It was nice, I guess. I mean all the views were nice, but it???s just not home. I haven???t been spending my whole life there so I guess it???s just not the same,??? he was in his own train of thought, probably thinking about his home.
???I get you. That???s how I???m feeling. I miss Maryland like crazy!??? I showed some emotions as I said that.
???Yeah, I already miss my friends and my girlfriend back in California, even though it has only been a few days,??? he sighed.
???Oh, you have a girlfriend???? I asked, a little bit surprised at this news. I was under the impression that he was single.
???Yeah. She???s cool. Her name is Lindsey,??? he smiled as he thought about her.
???Oh! That???s nice, what???s she like???? I knew that the disappointment was so clear on my face. Then again, there may be a chance he doesn???t notice because he was too busy thinking about his girlfriend.
???Well, she???s pretty athletic. More a basketball type though. And she???s really easy to talk to and fun to be around,??? he was in his own world and his own train of thought.
???Oh. She sounds so nice!??? I said with the most sincerity I could manage.
???She is. You???ll love her if you met her,??? he said, with such confidence.
???I think I will,??? I forced a smile.
???Attention passengers, this is your Captain, Abraham Bloswick, speaking and we will now be landing at the LAX airport in 5 minutes, so please strap your seatbelts, make sure you have all your belongings, and get ready for landing. And thank you for choosing American Airlines,???
???Well, I hope we get to meet again! Can I have your e-mail, so if you ever need help around California, you can just e-mail me? And then I can also keep in touch with you,??? Andrew smiled as he said that.
???Sure. It???s serenitylake96@gmail.com. What about you???? I told him as I watched him jot down the e-mail.
???Here. I???ll write it down for you,??? he scribbled on the piece of paper his e-mail.
???Thanks. Well, bye. It was nice talking to you,??? I smiled at him.
???Same. This was a nice flight experience,??? Andrew smiled back. It was probably the last time I would see that amazing smile.
I turned away as I took out a piece of gum and started chewing it, so my ears wouldn???t pop.
