How I make MP: A guide for the New or Old Player

1)Plates!
The easiest, but not the most reliable, way to make MP is with plates on the Ferris Wheel. Often time plates are worth more then their Minipet counterparts and this can make them rather profitable. First off, it is almost never a good idea to buy a colored Minipet and the plates ARE NOT usually worth their shop search value.
Search a few Plates until you come across one that is worth 200k or more (recommended 400K+) and see how much the NON-COLORED minipet is worth. If it is rather low (Depending on what your willing to spend), buy it and color it with yarn, or if your feeling lucky, you can try Fasoro Falls. However, the Falls are very unreliable and you cannot make sure it will make the desired color.
As stated before, the plates are almost never worth their Shop search value and you should try to get one that is 200k or more. This is because of how much people are willing to buy them for.
I set my price *USUALLY* by rounding DOWN to the hundred thousand, and taking off the last "0" and putting them in trades or auctions.
Meaning That:
200k = 10K
300K = 20k
400k = 30k
500k = 40k
Auctions work better because many people look through them and can increase the price. The increase doesn't really matter so I usually just do 1 because it is faster.
Since they don't always sell, you might get an excess, in which case you might want to switch Minipet/color or drastically reduce price and put them in trade or auction.
On a related note, Use Fasoro falls to Color random Minipets and sell them on the Auction house or be patient and put them in your shop. Sometimes it will even be worth it to use yarn, but this is rare as yarn is usually rather expensive.
2)Photos!
Like above, but the only difference is use Photos. You get twice as many each time, but only 2 times a day, while you can get a plate every 4 hours. This one is usually harder since you usually can't just "BUY" a good Photo Pet (PET AUCTION?).
I use the same MP values stated above. Photos tend to get undercut in Shop search more often then plates. However, you can buy it from the person's shop who destroyed its Shop Search value, but usually it is not worth it. Sometimes it will fix itself, but not for awhile.
3)Auctions/Trade!
The third way is in the auction and trades. The best things to buy are slates, codes, scrolls, and Keys (I have not really tried Runes because of their constant high prices). Once you get a decent amount of money, buying these for half price or less can make a real pay day. These often sell in the morning when a bunch of people come on to continue in temple/Pyramid Ect. or in the afternoon when school ends. It might take awhile, but when one sells, you could make up to 250k. For me, getting 125k+ is not that uncommon because the more the expensive items the more often they get put in auctions at half price. It is a rather large investment, but in mass, you could double that 1 million in a few days (or even hours) with little to no effort. However, as with any of these, their is a risk, of course, and this one could cost allot if people undercut the prices.
It is obviously not limited to these items, but they are the big sellers for large rewards and are not that uncommon in auctions.
Once you get a rather large cash reserve, it might be in your interest to buy cheaper plates and photos from the auction yourself. As and example for what I would do: bid 5k on a photo/Plate that is in Shop Search for 10k+. If it is half price or less, on a cheaper photo, it might be worth it to bid. I normally only bid on the ones worth 50k or less to put in my shop because these ones actually sell. They take some of the longest amount of time to sell, but in mass, can be very profitable.
Color concoctions sell for 450k+ in Shop search usually, and many people put them in the Auction House for around 380k. They can sell for 420k rather easily if put back in the AH. While the 40k difference is not that much, it is a decent profit. Often times many are being sold, so, if you have the cash, it could be an easy profit.
Players who have saved many items throughout the years and are already very rich sometimes put drastically reduced priced items in the AH. Among other things, I have snipped a Love Party Dress and a Swiss army knife for 800k each for about a 4M profit. Many people go after these items so it will be a good idea to try to become a good auction sniper (overbidding at the last second to make other people unable to offer over you). Put in a bid a decent amount past the current bid price and reload the page until it says about 3 second left and click the Bid button. If your bid is high enough, it will go past the amount other people are trying to bid for. So, if they are quicker, they will instead get an error page that says bid to low. This makes it unlikely that someone will have a price over yours and be able to bid a fraction of a second after you before the auction is closed. The goal is to bid at (or even better, after) 1 second. The 3 second thing is so you can accurately wait 2 second when you move your mouse over the bid button to set an offer at the last possible moment.
4)Quests
You can't forget the quests. The items they give can be worth anywhere from 5k-500k. They are very unreliable but their items are worth a ton and actually sell.

The best are, in order to my preferences:
Kamilah Traveller----Codes
Simerian Excavator--Slates
Cosmonaut-----------Dip
Haunted House-------Crystals
Codes are usually worth more than Slates, Slates sell more but are cheaper then Codes, Dip is a single-item quest, and Crystals are very reliable and sell often.
The Pure Mp given in these often pays for the items bought.
ALWAYS check both the Shop Search AND Regular Shops when buying the items.
Normally the Kamilah Traveller and Simerian Excavator are the best, for the same reasons above, but any of these quests sometimes ask for rather expensive items. It just depends on how much you are willing to spend for the *chance* to get the 300k+ item. These items are not that uncommon, but don't expect to get them 1 in every 3 times. It is random so you might end up doing it quite a few times to get 1 or get 3 in a row.
It is best to just move down the line when a quest seems too expensive to finish or gets boring.
Other quests give you items, like Snowman and Farming, (sculptures and Yarn) which can be worth allot, but I never seemed to do them. You can try them, but I have not really tested them.
Once you have a decent amount of MP, it might be worth it to buy the double crystal gift box (9 AU x 550k/au credit price = 5M). It is a HUGE investment, but worth it if you do Eldger the most.
5)RESTOCKING!
This is, by far, the one I use the most. I usually replace questing for this one since it takes awhile. If you have large chunks of time, this is the MP generator for you.
The first thing you need to know, is in the beginning, you should have a decent amount of MP, as buying items in mass can get expensive and, until your shop is larger, it will not be equal in sales to your spending in a day. Once your shop gets to the size of mine, at the point of this post, (roughly 20 pages in edit shop stock). You can hit sales of 200k-800k+ overnight and somewhere near that during the day. Of course, what you buy will drastically change it, which is why their is a large gap. Codes and plate will dramatically increase it (from auctions or questing).
It will be in your best interest to somehow get an Auto Price Giftbox once your shop gets rather large, but it is up to you.
Shops:
These shops can have items worth almost nothing that sell for well over 10k each. The more expensive the shop, the more risk but more reward their is.
I was sent a MaraMail from Bobbule that had a site designed to directly compare the Shop value and the Shop search value so you can eliminate the need to search for every item individually:

*If it has an "ERROR" when loading a shop (stops suddenly somewhere in the list of items), buy out the item(s) that is after the last item listed and it should work (unless it was because it ran out of space on the list in huge shops like Eye Make Up). It is often a "Radioactive" item such as a Radioactive Candy Cane or pizza since they are I many shops. However, some shops, such as the Pizza shop, are filled with items like this so it isn't in your best interest to buy from that shop, so just skip it.
The "Make up Shops" are enormous. It took me 3 HOURS to buy the more profitable items (2k+ profit/ item) in the Eye Make Up shop . However, the price it took to upgrade my shop to hold the items after I restocked almost all the other shops took up a large portion of the possible profit. Still, once the items sell, I should make around 12 Million. (3,500 items x an average profit of 3,500k/item as a rough estimate with the items of all the other shops included)
Cloth shops (Shoes Mainly) are HIGHLY recommended as the shops are larger (making the prices more inflated) and they usually sell rather well in bulk and are cheap usually. But the normal clothing shops now have a bunch of items that mess up the Profit Pricer so it might be more work than what it is worth in those shops.
Toward the top of the list is usually the better shops.
Most items in these shops are around 600 MP or less.
-Chocolate

Most items in these shops are around 1,500MP or less.

-Weapons------(Excluding the staffs)
-Armor------(Excluding Gauntlets)
-Sushi
-Musical Instruments------(Has SOME expensive items to purchase)
-Fast Food
-Stars
-Male Clothing
-Gourmet Mutant Food
Some items in these shops are around 3,000 - 10,000 MP.
-Eggs
-Weapon Shop------(Staffs)
-Armor Shop------(Gauntlets)
-Trading Cards------(Profit Ranges Greatly)
Items in these shops can be 10,000+ MP.
-Batteries
-Stamps------(Prices range from 50 - 12k+)
Other Shops:
RP - (Restock points) 1RP = 9MP
When you restock the other shops, you will get RP which you can use to buy items in RP shops which are usually very valuable. (Or you could save the RP to Sell it through Currency Exchange for about 1RP : 9MP)
-Cooking Ingredients------(Probably the best since it uses the least RP)
-Treasure Maps------(Prices very from cheap to expensive)
-Poison------(40K+ RP)
-Kwazikujo------(Valuable items, best saved up for. They are EXTREMELY expensive)
BP - (Battle Points) 1 BP : 2 MP
You are probably not going to get much BP, but I'll put it here anyway.
-Sunglasses------(Worth more than currency exchange usually)
-Magazine Stand (125 BP)
-News Stand (250 BP)
Magazines and Newspapers are usually rather profitable in the long run, but take awhile to sell.
Don't take my word for it, prices change. Check a few items in the shop and see if many are around double for what they sell them for.
Their are many other shops that are profitable. These are just the ones I found that seem the best.
(These are based on averages, some items in these shops might go well over the price listed)
6)Difficult Restocks
Some of the most profitable shops are not on here because you need-

-to have a real chance to get the better items from them. It is a restocking site that is directly connected to the shop's "every 5 minutes" restock time. The time is a bit off though, so you might have to experiment a bit for when they are actually restocking, so just reload the shop page until you can figure it out.
It is almost necessary to use that site to have a chance to get the good items From:
-Computers------(Hard Drive, Flash Drive, Motherboard, Ect.
-Contact Lenses------(Glass Eye Contact Lenses, Ect.)
-Chocolate------(Gift Wrapped Chocolate, Chocolate Sticks, Ect.)
-Car Parts------(Suspensions, ASB Brakes, Ect.)
-Soft Drinks------(Any Actual can of Soda)[Making it empty increases price usually]
-Minipet Food------(anything sold)
Once you are good at restocking, you can try:
-Traps------(anything sold) *
-Costumes------(anything sold)
-Potions------(certain costumed potions)
-Concoctions------(Color mainly, but also Random concoctions)
Even I rarely get anything from these 3 shops. In total, that I can remember, I have only been able to get 3 things from Costumes and Potions of note.
*Traps are slightly easier than the other three, but are still much more difficult than most.
7)Games
I know the games are usually not very fun, but the game of the day will always give you items(and a game point). These items are sometimes worth only 1Mp, but many are worth 2K+ and some are even over 10k. Some Games (like Baterminater) might take too long for this to be very profitable, but others (like Bounce) are quick and easy. Remember the 3 scores have to be different though. If you have extra time, the game of the week will give you 5 points for the Game Redemption Shop each time you play (for a total of 15/day +3 for the daily). The items in the Redemption shop can be sold rather high, but the better ones can take some time to get. You can play other games, but I find that to be a bit tedious so I only play the Weekly and Daily ones if they are short.
8)Worms/Aquarium
Worms are an easy boost each day for 7k-14k each. However, it isn't normally better to put them in your shop. It is better to use them in the aquarium to get a Scholarship (I know, it makes perfect sense). These can be anywhere from 10k (average price of worm) to 45k. They are usually worth around 12k-20k though, so it is in your best interest to do it as often as you can. Put any worms you get into your attic if you can't use them at that time and it may be worth it to buy the worms from player shops if you don't have one they want (how different could they taste?). A quick way to compare which worms you have and what they want is to bring up 2 windows and go to your "Worms" section of the Attic on one and the Aquarium on the other. This doesn't get you a ton of MP, but it often doubles or ever triples your profit from just selling the worm. The average profit for me is about 7k over the price of the worm and the Scholarships sell rather quickly.
Alternatively, you could save them for awhile until the aquarium becomes the "Weekly Quest Challenge," in which case you should wait a day or two and them sell the inflated worms in your shop. Also, scholarships might reduce in value at this time so keep an eye out for cheap ones you could sell later.
9)Inflation/Inflated Items
Now, obviously this isn't the most praised of methods, but it can work well. It really means just buy items in shop search until they jump to insanely large prices and then sell them for more then they are really worth. Common examples of inflated items are items in huge shops such as in the make-up shops or in expensive ones like batteries store. These you can just use the site listed in the Restocking part: http://www.jadeh.com/mara/pricer.asp. Just load the page and check for items inflated to 50k - none in SS price. Then, put them into the auction house for slashed (but still outrageous) prices.
If you don't find anything in the shops, sometimes you will find a good thing to inflate yourself (using slow search - HIGHLY recommended whenever you search). For example, I noticed that the item "Bomb" jumped from 300 MP to 2,000 MP and then to 95,000 MP with very few in between. Now obviously this is not very normal to jump this much on a common item, but I took advantage of it. I bought the roughly 10 bombs from the other user shops to spike the price up to 95k. They will never sell in SS now, but since I put them in the Auction house for 10K-15K, they sold. Items that you buy for 400MP now sell for 10K-15K in the auction house (until someone else fixes the price). I made around 200,000 MP with little work while spending about 20k on the bombs (and buying the ones restocking for 400).
This is a rather bad thing to do in mass, as it can really wreck items value, and anger people, so I don't really recommend it as a major source of MP. However, it can be done rather quickly. Just know that it is very annoying if you are doing a Quest/Mission and need an inflated item. If this isn't done correctly when buying from user shops, you can loose a lot of MP, especially if you don't check how many of the item is in each user shop since they sometimes have TONS. I have fallen into this trap a few times myself and dished out a 100k doing this for an item that was halted by a shop with a lot of that item.
Like I stated in the aquarium part above, the "Weekly Quest Challenge" inflates the prices of the items that are required such as diamonds (Elite Gym), crystals (Normal Gym), Batteries (Robots), and worms (Aquarium). It might be a good idea to buy these if you see them somewhat cheaper and sell them when their prices go up during the right "Quest."
10)AU Sets and Their Costumes
(I am writing this when the Cartoon, Steampunk, and Monster sets are currently in AU store)
Account Upgrades are expensive (around 650k/credit currently) and are the main source of new costumes on Marapets, making them an easy target to get a profit on. These are great to invest in since you can be sure they will retire and their prices are very predictable. When a new AU Set is introduced, the prices are incredibly high and it is almost never a good idea to buy them then with MP then. However, if you have the credits, it may be worth it to sell the random items as soon as possible (everything except the Costume, map/instruction pieces, enchanted plushies, or any other big ticket item such as the newer Wand of Monsterous Power). If the miscellaneous items do not sell before their price has become stabilized, keep them until awhile after the AU set has become retire like the rest of the items. I have never purchased any sets with AUs, so I cannot speak with direct experience as the person selling them when they are not retired yet. The best sets to buy are the ones with maps or instructions. These are rarer sets, but each piece usually ends up with a price of 800k+ depending on the usefulness of the actual
Try to stock up on AU costumes (any the other items too) awhile after their prices settle. The costumes can usually be found for around 850k each in the Auction House and sometimes as low as 650k. After it is retired, it quickly shoots to around 1.5M, usually, and can easily doubling your money. I rarely sell mine though... a bit of "if I sell them I won't have them" logic there. Above all, recognizing an items value before it becomes retired is a very valuable skill for items that WILL retire. The same logic applies to events.
A few Examples:
-Nightmare Set: The costume was very cool (In my opinion) and the current price reflects that. It goes for 2M+ compared to the usual 1.5M.
-Hairy set: The actual instructions for this were not very interesting, so it appears that the AU set wasn't bought as much. The instruction pieces are still not worth nearly the usual amount of 800k+ (a few sold recently for 250k). The unpopularity however, lead to less Hairy Costumes. So, the lack of these costumes increased its price to way past the usual 1.5 Million MP. They are valued at over 5 Million, over 3 times the usual price for AU costumes.
-Cartoon Set: The Instructions for this are probably the best so far. Allowing the organization of many things, most notably your pets, will most likely makes this a very popular, and valuable, set shortly after it is retired.
-Monster set: I can say, without any uncertainty, that the Wand of Monsterous Power is going to be incredibly valuable. Healing 70 HP each, it is, by far, the best wand in Marapets. At a price of only about 1 Million MP at the moment, this is going to be a goldmine. The hard part is finding people to sell them for that little. I have managed to buy 2 so far for 1.8M, but I haven't seen any more. It reminds me of the Sword of the Light/Dark Side's value. Also, trading cards are popular and increase in value very quickly, making the Radioactive Terror Trading Card a good thing to buy too. I haven't found a price for the card yet though. This could be the most profitable set yet.
11) Scratchcards
The true value of one Dukka coins is way beyond 4,000 MP. Dukka Scratchcards can be boughten for 2 Dukka coins (normally around 7k-10k Mp total depending on current price for both). The most common is the X Marks The Spot Scratchcard which hovers around 3K, a far cry from 10k. I suggest just using them for the off chance of getting 3 the Dukka coins back which is one more than what is spent. However, it isn't an overly common card. Meaning that you won't expect to get this almost every single time. The next few rarities range from 5k-70k. Then it jumps to 200k-500k MP. These are obviously not that common, but the lesser valued cards should already cover or even go past the cost of the Dukka Coins being spent making the good ones pure profit. I have bought a few of them before writing this:
2 Goldmine Scratchcard (300k-450k each)
3 Pirates Pearl Scratchcard (50k-70k each)
3 Buried Treasure Scratchcard (20k-40k each)
2 Treasure Hunt Scratchcard (5k-10k)
4 Shiver Me Timbers Scratchcard (8k-10k each)
7 X Marks The Spot Scratchcard (1k-4k each)
I suggest just using the X Marks The Spot Scratchcards. From my 6, I received two 3 Dukka Coins and a bit of RP and BP adding to about 14k MP in value. The Dukka coins and MP value already covered 4 of the them.
Using a total of 36 Dukka Coins for this (4,000 MP x 38 = 152,000 MP). If I sell the random ones in SS and the Goldmine Scratchcard in auctions for 400k, the profit would be around 1,000,000 MP.
In auctions, sometimes people sell bigger coins than 1s for about 4,500 mp/coin value. I usually buy them since I am way to lazy to buy and use a bunch of single Dukka Coins. Just keep in mind that 1 in 10 of the bigger coin's Value won't be added. So, a Ten Dukka Coin will give you 9 exchanged Dukka Coins and a Fifty Five Dukka Coin will give you 50 since its value is rounded down to 50, taking of 5, instead of rounding up to 60 which would take off 6. This often brings each coin to roughly 5000 MP/ coin, but it is so much faster.
12)Tips to Help Speed Things Up
For Restocking:
*When copying an item's name, if you double click, it will highlight the word you're over. This is good for items with just one word in their name. If you click 3 times, it will highlight the set of words for that item (EX: Sugar Free Spider Lolly has 4 words in it).This can help in Quests/Missions as well, especially if the names are very close together.
*Buy all the shop's inventory of the specific item you want to buy. This will mean you get more items per price check, increasing the amount of Mp you get in all because you won't have to come back to the shop and re-Check all the item's Prices again as often, saving some time in the long run.
*When you find an item you want to buy, type in the code and buy it. However, Do not go back to shop! Hit the backspace key to bring you back to the "code" page. It will reset the code and you can re-enter the new code to buy it and can be done an unlimited amount of times until the shop runs out of that item. This eliminates the need to go through the ENTIRE shop again and again to find the same Item.
*When you buy all of the inventory of an item, Hit the backspace twice! It will bring you back to the spot where the previous item you were buying was, so you can find the next item in the shop with ease. Remember to refresh the page every so often though, because hitting the backspace key does not refresh the shop! The items you just bought will still be displayed even though they are bought out, and the shop will not update with its restocks every 5 minutes unless you refresh the page.
(This also works well with the "Countdown" in Ziranek so you don't have to keep going back to explore.)
((The second and third are only very useful in large shops like chocolate, stamps, and Make Up, but can help in smaller shops once you get the hang of it. These three will drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to buy multiple items.))
Once you buy a ton of items, the Computer will remember the different codes and display them when you start to type in a new code to buy an item. These will never be the same so they become really annoying when they become long and cover up the code you need to enter. When it appears, You can scroll down just a tiny bit with the Mouse Wheel (I don't know if that is on an Apple computer) to get rid of the code list for that purchase after it is displayed.
For Auctions:
If you put an item in the Auction House, tons of people will see it compared to your Shop. Putting a Retired item in the Auction House is often better than your shop because they are not usually needed for quests so only collectors will search for it (most likely). If you want to sell it quickly, put it in the auction house for a decent amount less than shop search value and someone might buy it (It is usually a good Idea to try it at about 4/5 the price first). If it doesn't sell after a few time, try lowering the price you are selling it for or try putting it in at different times of the day since some people start to play at different times.
I believe this is all I can tell you about how to gain MP. I hope it helps. I know its allot but once you get the hang of it, it actually becomes rather easy to do.
