I doubt anyone will actually read all this so I have clearly separated it out into different sections. Just look for the one you want to read as it will save you a lot of time seen as I keep adding to the blog every day making it even longer and, when you get me talking, I never shut up!

About me (please read):

This is just a random bit about me that you may need to know before mailing or friend requesting me.

Me in general:
My Mara-name is AnimePirateGirl and my real name is Anna (shush about that pweese) but I prefer to be called Anime (even by school friends). I don't like arrogant and self centred people but I do like a lot of movies, music and books. I currently seem to watch horror movies (and anime of course), listen to a lot of Avril Lavigne's older music and read fantasy books. My favourite animal is a rat or some other rodent but I only like them as pets and not wild animals (too much illness spread by them because of where they're forced to live) ... I don't know why everyone is scared of rats! I also like hedgehogs, lions, wolves, tigers, kimono dragons, tortoises and turtles but I don't have any pets of my own at the moment. I have mint green eyes and my hair is long and black (I'm trying to get my mum to let me dye it midnight blue but It's not going so well at the moment). I am quite tiny for my age (which is 16 years old by the way) and I'm a vegetarian ... deal with it!

My baby (pet):
I don't care that I don't have an LE pet. The only pet I want is MyPirateGirl and she is an awesome type of pet that I happened to get the first time I used the portal. Do not mail me asking if she is for trade and NEVER say you have better pets then me unless you want to be blocked. In my opinion, I have the best type of pet there is on Mara. If you think I'm only saying this because I can't get an LE ... YOUR WRONG! I love MyPirateGirl because she is a good pet and not because I can't get one worth more. What is the LE obsession anyway? Yes, they're worth more and will make you seem "cooler" but, if your dream pet isn't an LE, there is no reason to hide this fact! I don't care much for LEs myself.

A bit about my anime obsession:

I am 100% obsessed with anime and my favorite anime is Death Note. I think L is AWESOME and I didn't watch any Death Note for over a month after he died! The first anime I ever watched was Spirited Away and the first anime series was Fruits Basket or One Piece (I forget which). I've watched almost every anime there is and hate it when I find out there is one I haven't watched (I then watch it asap).

I live, breath and think anime all the time ... I even did a story for my English exam based on anime at one point (It got me an A so I'm quite proud I got away with it). I draw anime and write my own anime stories. I also go to anime conventions (yes, I know it seems dorky but it's true) and have a load of costumes of different characters. Me and one of my best friends act like our main role-play characters all the time (She's Sora or Sasuke most of the time and I'm usually L or Mello) and she even had her hair cut like it (I don't want short hair so a wig works when I'm at a convention).

Wikipedia's definition of L (yes, I am sad enough to post it here):

My opinion on The Twilight Saga:

Before I say my opinion on Twilight, I want to say that everyone has their own opinions and this is just mine. I don't hate or strongly dislike anyone for the reason that they have different opinions to me.

OK then ... Twilight: It has a basic plot line and I am personally glad I've finished it. Although it is quite a good book, there are a lot of cliches throughout the series. I've read almost every vampire related book I come across (Including Dracula ... one of the classics) and It's unbelievable how many things from other vampire books have found their way into Twilight. All Interview With The Vampire, The Saga Of Darren Shan and Vampirates include vampires/a vampire that doesn't like the idea of drinking human blood or too much human blood. I have also read a lot of books including the hottest guy at school falling unconditionally in love with the clumsy new girl - yet another cliche I have found while reading Twilight. Yes, I find Twilight quite entertaining but it's not anywhere near the best book I have ever read.

There is a huge "Harry Potter Vs Twilight" thing going on that you can find on almost any website you go on. I personally don't like one more then the other and see no reason for this huge argument. As I said before, everyone has their own opinions but it's getting too much and the craze is annoying.

Every Twilight forum I've seen includes an argument on if it is good or not. "Team Edward", "Team Jasper" and "Team Jake" come up way too much ... They are fantasy book/movie characters and that is all they will ever be!

That reminds me about a problem with vampires in general. How can you have vampires if they become that way by being bitten by another vampire - who was the first vampire bitten by? How did they become a vampire if there were no other vampires? Did they evolve from humans like we did chimps? It's too confusing for me so I personally believe vampires are made up and for fantasy stories only. They are nothing to obsess over and shouldn't be idolised as they are in Twilight.

My opinion on The House Of Night Series:

In basics, they are the best books I have ever read.

The House Of Night Series is based upon a normal teenager who had her life turned upside down when she was marked to become a vampire. She has abilities to do things no vampire has ever managed to do before and she is training to become a high priestess but her life is far from easy (even with her extra abilities). She is tricked, looked down on, betrayed and lied to throughout all of the books.

I find the new take on vampires a nice change. The Twilight obsession has been taking over everything but I saw a topic saying how good the House Of Night is so I decided to try it. How the book is written with small bracketed phrases and sentences to create an individuality to the writing style and as if a teenager has actually written it is, basically, one of the best writing techniques I have seen in a long time.

I find the plot of the books and all the unexpected twists something that adds to the character of the series and what made me refuse to put the books down until I had finished them.

I have no negatives about the series as I find it that good and I would recommend it to anyone that asked.

The only problem for me is that I want to know what happens next in Zoey Redbirds life and I really wish the authors would hurry up and create another book. Oh ... I also wish the 4th and 5th books would come out in England (not fair ... they're making a 6th one and I can't even get the 4th).

My oppinion on The Host:

OK ... ever since I finished reading The Host I've been apologising to friends. So maybe Stephanie Meyer isn't a bad author! The Host is an awesome book that I couldn't put down no matter what (I got told off a LOT at school when I was reading it in my French lesson).

The Host is now my second favorite book ever written. Being the emotional wreck I am, I actually physically cried in some parts of the book!

I fell in love with The Host as soon as I read the first page and I have to admit that Stephine Meyer one of my favorite writers now (I hate saying that).

I'm 100% in need of the second and third books (yes, after looking at several sites it seems they will be coming out ... YAY) to come out soon! I may die without them and The House Of Night!

My opinion on Marapets and a bit about my club:

OK ... people have recently saying that Marapets is going downhill. I personally have a Mara obsession and couldn't go without this site but there are some aspects that I agree with when people say Marapets is getting worse.

For starters, I have found quite a few people that make fun of new members to marapets because they ask questions that - to us - are stupid and have obvious answers. Have you ever thought that "newbies" don't know anything about Marapets and all they want is to make friends? Yes, some newbies are annoying and think that they should always get their way but not everyone is like that. Everyone was new once and I really don't think you would have enjoyed it if you had been ridiculed for no apparent reason when you first joined the site. Newbie related topics in Restricted Chat? Why? Although newbies cannot post in restricted chat, they can see what you are posting. Does no-one care if they upset new members and make them wish they never joined Marapets to begin with? Weren't we all newbies when we first joined? If you were ridiculed when you joined you would - most likely - either want to leave the site or you would try to fit in and wouldn't be able to be yourself. I personally try to help new members out instead of making fun of them behind their backs!

Also, the SPAM forum is becoming less welcoming for new users of that particular forum because of the fact that they know everyone there so well. I see no reason for some members to not be aloud on the SPAM forum. The SPAM forum members don't tend to welcome new members into their forum and yet they seem to also spam up the Restricted Chat ... does SPAM rule the whole site now?

I could complain for ages but I could also spend hours on end saying how great some aspects of mara are - for example, I couldn't ask for a better club than my current one! Everyone in my club is welcoming and all ages are accepted - that includes newbies. As long as the club rules are followed, the leader, co-leader and staff are all kind and joke around with other members. We also have virtual food fights and ninja fight along with the occasional funny debate. I love my club so much but I feel it is the only place I can chat openly unless in mail with a close friend.

The problems with Mara don't mean staff aren't doing a great job because they are. It's some members that are, in-fact, lowering the standard of Marapets and not the staff as some people think. Of course there are times when the staff mess up but aren't there times like that for everyone? You may feel your problem is more important than others and will get annoyed if staff don't sort it out as soon as you mail them but you're not any more important than other members and staff have to help all people as soon as they can ... there is no reason for you to create forum topics or blogs saying you hate staff because they won't sort out your problem. Believe it or not, there is quite a large chance that staff aren't helping you for the simple reason that they are to busy to do so. So why doesn't Ian make more people staff? Maybe there are no members he feels are right to become staff or maybe it would just cause more problems then they are now. Like you and me, staff are only human so need to rest and can't sort everything out in an instant!

Everything on this blog is just my opinion and I'm sorry if you don't agree with it but you cannot expect me to change how I feel just to make you happy - I am who I am. I know people have arguments about stuff like this - we're only human - but I don't want to join in these arguments myself.

All I want is that ability to express how I feel about certain things and I don't know how my personal opinion on Anime or Twilight would start a fight but I have seen things like it happen loads of times before and don't want my blog to be the start of yet another one of these arguments. I doubt everyone that sees my profile will take the time to read this but I really don't care! I want somewhere I can say how I feel and this blog is the perfect place for me to do so.
