We had to have our beautiful dog put to sleep tonight. He was only 2 and a half years old but had lymphoma. He gave us the best time ever.
The best way to describe how I feel right now is numb. Every room is full of memories. Never realized just how painful this would be.

Organic that is a rather insensitive comment! Losing a pet is awful no matter how long you've had them or what part of your life you've spent with them. I had a rescue dog die of distemper within the first week after adopting her. Still one of the most painful experiences I've ever been through. As was losing a family dog of 14 years.
