Balke is quiet and often considered quite stern.
Balke has a talent for pinning insects. He views it as respectful practice as the act of pinning helps showcase the best an insect has, even long after their passing. He cares little for much outside his hobbies, though Hithe and Liuye have wormed their ways into his heart.
