my name is mew
i am so small
i live with my mum
im the smallest hall
of an abandoned building
my mom is sick
my siblings have died
all i have left
is a little pride
knowing im strong
not knowing how
mum has gone to
a better place now
i walk the streets
im not afraid
until a tall man finds me in his way
he looks down at my small face
and trows me over the gate
an 8 yr.old girl happens to walk by
she looks at me and begins to cry
she picks me up
and takes me home
gives me a bath
and i know
she plans to keep me
she seems so nice
her mum says yes
it is alright
i remember my mum
who has helped me
now i have carly and her family
