Your heart shines bright
Without the light
but I know you're there, waiting

I cant see your face
or fell your touch
I lost all of that, waiting

Its because of you
yet not at all
I stayed here the whole time, waiting

It hurts to think
and breathe and eat
but i did it all here, waiting

I see you coming for me now
one small step at a time
but I can't move and I'm stuck, waiting

I know you hug me
But I can't tell where
because I am still waiting

I wait and wait and wait
but you can't understand why
So I just keep waiting

My mouth gurgles
as I try to speak
No one understands why I keep waiting

Then you back off
and I don't know why
so here I sit here still waiting

You walk behind me
and push my chair
And the wait is over

You stroll me to the car
and roll my chair up
kissing my cheek, I wait for more

I sit in my wheelchair
Unable to eat or speak or kiss back
Wishing I could move again
