I stare at the wall
Both of us motionless
And I think,
What it must be like to be a wall
Such a lonely life
Three others like it in a room
All motionless
All lonely
All under appreciated
Because the wall has an important job to do
To hold the building up
All day and all night
Never getting a break
A sad life a wall must have
Painted in pretty colors over and over again
But underneath, nothing exciting at all
Sadness
But covered in happiness
In a way, the wall is like us
Sad and hurting on the inside
But putting on a happy face for those around us
Always changing into something we are not
To please the likings of others
In a way, the wall is like me
The wall is like life
The wall is life
