There had to be a way to get past the guards, Emmy thought. She had a feeling Drake knew something was up, but... She sighed, and looked out the window. The guards out there had a greater number than the ones inside the castle.

Elena and Luke sat underneath the dead tree. Elena was fuming and Luke decided that it was best not to say anything. He ran a hand through his hair. I'm going to be late to meet Emmy, he thought, noticing how dark it was. Elena scanned the horizon half heartedly. "No sign of anyone," She said stiffly, casting an accusing glare at Luke, who flinched.

Elena watched as the sun sunk into the sky. She and Luke had been travelling for quite some time. "Is is me or are we lost?" She asked, noticing that they had passed the same tree 3 times. Luke looked at her sheepishly and shrugged. "Where's the map I gave you?" Elena asked, trying not to kill him. Luke backed up and pulled at his collar. "Uh... I... I lost it," He said, quietly. Elena sighed, rubbing her temples. "Now what?!" She demanded, leaning against the tree.

Elena emerged with her armour on. Looks like they cleaned it for me, she smiled, admiring the shine it had. She looked at Drake and was going to say something but thought better of it and turned away. She waited for Luke to finish talking to Emmy and took one last look at the Light kingdom.

Luke smiled and patted her head. "I'd better get going... I'll see you tonight," He said, scrambling over to Elena. "Let's go!" He said, smiling playfully. Elena sighed and shook her head. The pair walked towards the gate of the Light kingdom, chattering away. "How's it going with Drake?" Luke whispered and Elena blushed. "He's still oblivious," Elena replied, chuckling. Luke laughed and patted her shoulder. "Poor Elena," He said and ran off down the dusty path towards the Dark kingdom with Elena running after him, threatening to cut his head off.

Elena stood there, uncomfortable. "I... I can't stay here," She said, looking at the ground. She flexed her fingers and it felt strange without her usual armour on. "The king will certainly wage war," She said, sighing.

Luke tried not to flinch when Drake snarled at him. He noticed it was starting to get dark. "Hey, Elena, better start heading back," He said, tapping her on the arm. Elena looked at him and tried to smile. "I'll get changed," She said, walking off.

Elena smiled and hugged Luke as they approached. "Well, today was pretty fun, huh?" She enquired, smiling. Luke laughed and nodded, before turning serious. "W... What will the king say?" Luke mumbled and Elena froze. "He... He'll kill me," Elena said, stepping back. "He's probably already storming the castle..." Elena said, trailing off and shuddering. "I'll be killed before I even set foot in the castle..."

Luke stood there, frowning. It was true, the king would indeed kill Elena for leaving the kingdom without his permission. There was no way that Elena could go back. "Well... What will you do?" He asked her, meeting Drake's eyes. He narrowed his eye at him and dared Drake to challenge him.
