Hello ! I'm Fyna, nice to meet you. Wink I would just like to ask a question that I'm not able to find the answer to yet. Do you know what the answer is? If so, keep reading this blog. If not, just keep reading. Tongue Out Is Cyclone worse than a flood? Think your answer out carefully and give a scientific explanation. Very good explanations and reasons can gain a prize. Also, if you want to express your sympathy to Queensland after being hit by Cyclone Yasi and floods, please do so here.

Love,
Fyna Sha Adore

I live in Queensland, Australia.
Luckily, I wasn't effected by the floods, and luckily we are only in the low danger for the cyclone...

That's just my piece..

Yes. My brother and sister-in-law is currently in Tully. We haven't heard any news from them yet and the phone remains switched off. I really am quite concerned about my brother. I do hope that my brother and sister-in-law is safe and sound.

Thanks, I hope this shed a light on the subject. Have you been affected in any way?

It is very hard. Thankyou Ink, for giving a very good explanation on this. I do hope that no major destruction has happened to your uncle. I will be sending over your prize shortly.

My two uncles were hit by the Cyclone Yasi, they live in Tully on the coast of Queensland. I went through flooding also and most of my friends and relatives were out of homes. It is so wonderful that so many people are donating to help out and turning up to clean and work.

As an answer to your question, here is my logical point of view.

With Cyclones, comes large amounts of tearing wind, and rain and they are very unpredictable often doing nothing what the weatherman predicted. They actually such in all forms of moisture and all raing and stuff with it a bit like a tornado making it very wet and horrible. I saw pictures on the news today of the roads being torn to shreds. Often the worst parts of a cyclone is the start and the end, at the start everyone is freaking out and overreacting and at the end, most of the time it isn't as devestating as was predicted but it is the heartbreak that enfolds afterwards of lost pets, possesions and valuables.

Floods, however, are the result of lots of rain over a short period. The rain fills the dams and our water tanks, but it also washes everything away and makes life miserable. It washes away houses and soaks into everything, making it unusable.

See, floods are often a lot like a cyclone, They come and they go and leave destruction, but they bring together community and it promotes humanity in a world that we don't see much. The disasters of this world are nothing to do with "global warming" but is the result of a natural thing. You hear in really old texts "It's blowing a gale, the Lord has come to smite us!" And other discriptions but it is a natural thing. You cannot tell me that the iceage, which was a feak of nature thing that happened before time was ever recorded, was caused by global warming; can you?

That is my argument

Good luck mate!
God Bless! Ink
