Let me Stay~

Plucking the
petals of
roses red,
violets blue,
pushing daises
2 by 2.

Blooming out
her collarbone,
around her
lungs, through
her heart.

Years went by
while petals
fell. The barren
weeds and tales
they tell.

Mangled, dry
thorns of brown.
Pricking fingers
when trying to
pull you out.


HAZY~

Forget you? As
if you were a book
in English class? A
song on the radio?
The movies I fall asleep
during? A face on the
streets?

Who was it? The
wind? Did the wind
hold my hand? Whisper
"I love you"? Are you but
a ghost of neglected
love?

You were there.
You still
are. I see you
clearly, with eyes of
hazel, with brown
curly hair, with powerful
words with love.

Forget you? How
can I do that?
All I know is
you. Everything is
you. The sky,
the clouds, the
ocean. It's all
you.

Are you lonely?
Do you have empty
spots in your heart? Do
you have movies
unwatched? A
neat bed? Do you
have pillows formed
only to your head?
Do you smoke by yourself?
Do you boil water for
one tea? Does your music
always play? Are you alone?
Is there only one stack of books?
One toothbrush? No extra clothes?
Does his old guitar collect
dust? Your scratched records
on repeat? The phone never
rings? A never ending breeze?
To much time?
To many tears?
To many shudders?
An aching heart?

love the way
we were I wish
everyday was
like the first
and not the
last. Everyday
in between
we fell more,
and more
APART.
