and so the day came
a new day
a wondrous day
borne from an acorn
an acorn of life
thousands of seconds
becoming thousands of years
a new life

a solitary acorn that falls alone will wither
holding out its branches
grasping at far-away roots
withered and wilting but awaiting inevitable death

a solitary acorn that falls among friends will thrive
branches held by those who love
no need to grasp no need to want
alive and growing

a thousand years

So happy to see a new poem!
