After almost 5 years of living with family I am finally in my own place. Very excited & love my new apartment. I have moved to the city! Never ever in my wildest dreams would I thought I'd be living in the City. I have a Studio apt near the top floor with a great view. I have 2 floor to ceiling windows. I initially planned to live near my daughter & the hospital. However she finally told me she is moving out of state for a job. I was so upset about that but once the shock wore off I was happy. I want her to live her dreams. She is moving to Alaska to be a tour guide on a whale watching boat. It's only temporary (May-Oct) so she will be back. So since she won't be around I decided on this apartment downtown. I live in St. Louis with a great view of the Gateway Arch. Can't wait for July 4th when there will be fireworks. I remember ages ago when I was visiting the Arch for the 4th & thinking how neat it would be to watch from the various buildings there. It's not the safest place. Since I signed my lease about 3-4 weeks ago there has been a suicide (some homeless fellow threw himself in front of traffic, some guy shot his wife same place, a rolling gun battle & an armed robbery at the convenience store next door. My place has security 24-7 & I make a point of not going out after dark.
