Okay so I know it's been a while since I posted, but I have a new theory that others may have already come up with. So at the beginning of the anime Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask and Mamoru Chiba are portrayed as two separate characters, like Jekyll and Hyde. They aren't even aware of the presence of the other. Now, I know he lost his memory and stuff, but does this mean he had DID? Because he originally lost his memory due to a car crash that killed his parents, which could fit the criteria of occurring because his brain was trying to protect him from a tragic incident. Also, as I mentioned earlier, the two personalities have no knowledge of the other's existence. The main flaw in this theory, however, is that near the end of season one the two identities become aware of each other and that they are the same person, and therefore become just one person. But in season two, a character named Moonlight Knight is introduced, which we later find out is the physical embodiment of Tuxedo Mask's love and desire to protect Sailor Moon. Mamoru Chiba could not do that at the time, because they all died and were reborn at the end of season one/beginning of season two, thus causing them to lose their memories. Usagi and the other Sailor Scouts were given back their memories by Luna, but Mamoru basically had to have his activated. So, do you agree with this wild theory? Or am I just delusional?????
