Pangborn Memorilal Airport



The Pangborn Memorial Airport has
been around since 1941. It was named after the brave pilots
Clyde Pangborn and Hugh Herndon who traveled from Misawa,
Japan to Wenatchee. They are very famos because
they completed the first nonstop flight across the Pacific
Ocean in 1931.Their epic journey ended 41 hours after they
took off.Clyde Pangborn died in 1958 and was laid to rest
with military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. I do
not know when Hugh Herndon died. All in all, the Pangborn
Memorial Airport.
