Hi!
I'm Mckyla!
I am a grad student studying forensic science, and I work as a microbiologist!
I live with my wonderful boyfriend Zach and our two cat babies and have been playing marapets since I was 12! (over 10 years!!!) (although I did take a 6 year break but that doesn't count lol)

None of my pets are for trade unless they're in the trades!

I got this from therawk and Takua95. No credit goes to me.

Welcome. This is a guide on how to make millions on marapets. First off, if you don't yet have 100,000mp or more, please start earning it by playing flash games till you hit 100,000mp.

You're back, are you? Well, you're going to be starting at the bottom of the pyramid and working your way up. The first step, which you have already completed, was earning 100,000mp. The next step has 2 different parts that you can do at the same time. They are Leprechaun and Elger missions. Take a look at the tables below. ^^

Leprechaun Log
Cost 400mp Paid 719rp Cost 2200mp Paid 259rp
Cost 10mp Paid 989rp Cost 2500mp Paid 668rp
Cost 5700mp Paid 762rp Cost 4100mp Paid 864rp
Cost 7200mp Paid 802rp Cost 3300mp Paid 640rp
Cost 1000mp Paid 648rp Cost 3400mp Paid 892rp
Total Paid: 29,810mp Total RP Made: 7,243rp

That's a profit of 40,000mp and some change. RP is sold at 10mp for every 1rp on a scale of 10:1. You can do this every day and make a good 100 - 200k profit each day. Don't buy items that total over 10k. Sometimes you can win a bonus and it will be 15,000rp, or 150,000mp once you sell it. This was only 10 quests done and yet I made 40k. RP you can sell on the Price Check forum. You set up a junk lot and the player you're trading with does the same. You offer on theirs and they offer on yours, and you both accept.

Elger Log

Cost 5000mp Paid 836MP and Shadow Crystal
Cost 2700mp Paid 855MP and Light Crystal
Cost 7300mp Paid 849MP and Ash Crystal
Cost 1300mp Paid 778MP and Steam Crystal
Cost 6200mp Paid 896MP and Digital Crystal
Cost 5100mp Paid 771MP and Ash Crystal
Cost 5000mp Paid 3,069MP and Ash Crystal
Cost 6400mp Paid 3,665MP and Air Crystal
Cost 3000mp Paid 908MP and Energy Crystal
Cost 5100mp Paid 6,663MP and Ash Crystal
Cost Total: 47,100mp Paid: 19,290mp Crystal Worth: 61,000mp

Elger pays you some MP (varies in a couple hundred to a couple thousand) and 1 crystal for every quest you complete. Sometimes you might get a bonus which pays you a stamp and 25,000mp. But your crystals are your main profit. You should sell in your shop, cheaper than anyone else. (Simply 1mp less will work.) Update your prices regularly (I recommend every 30 minutes) because Crystal prices change quickly and you'll need to keep up with the market. Crystals are easy to sell though so you will recover that MP fast, and be able to do more quests. As you can see I did 10 quests and made near 35k profit. Don't do quests that total over 7k. (Some say over 5k but I would say 7k because your next item or two could be super cheap and that makes it a good gamble to take.)

Now that you know what you need to do on Elger and Leprechaun quests it is time for you to start them up. Do one quest until they ask for expensive items and then switch to working on the other quest. The reason you can't skip levels in this pyramid is because although you make good profit from these quests, you still need MP to do them in the first place. That is where this 100k+ comes in handy. As you can see in the logs above: I spent a large amount to do them but then made an even larger amount of profit in the end. If you have to stop and sell, it will slow you down on the profit making. Keep doing this until you reach 500,000mp or more.

So now that you have some MP do you want to earn more, or even get your first LE pet? Now is the perfect time to start doing missions. Now that you have sufficient MP you are ready. The thing is is that you only have a few choices at this point with the amount of MP you have. The missions I recommend doing right now are the rubbish dump and circus missions because of all the missions they ask for the cheapest items. You'll need to do all 30 levels of a mission to earn yourself an LE potion. (Check other helpsites for list on prizes.) While you are doing a mission, each day you want to make more MP on completing it than what it cost you to finish it. By the end of the month, doing these steps in the pyramid should earn you 1 mill+ and an LE potion to boot. If you sell the potion then you will earn even more.

So, you've been working hard, have you? And you want to take an easy? Then you will love the next step. It will have 4 parts and is the second highest this pyramid goes. ^^

Lets start out easy. Shop search is one of the best tools when making mp. Use it to your advantage. People are consantly sticking items in their shop way under price. My suggestion is to buy alot of cheap easy-to-sells (ets) and put them in your trades for quick shop search access. I would buy a complete worm set along with a drink set (ones from tombola like blue and yellow) a female haircut coupon, one dukka/two dukka coin and more items you find along the way. Find one under priced buy it and stick it in your shop. Now try this one: type an unbuyable item that is ets in trades search. nef cossie for instance. You get a ton of trade lots do you not? Now price check (PC) every item in those lots. See if you can find a good deal on an unbuyable in someone's shop. Cant find one or you did? Move on to another retired ets item. This is why shop search is the best tool if you know how to use it to your advantage ^^

Now then you want to learn about the rules of trade? Trading post is also another great place to pick up mp. Hit browse trades and look for items discounted that players are selling. If you see a nef cossie that is for 600k and you know for a fact you can sell it for an easy 700k then buy it. (that is a 100k profit for buying cheap and selling higher.) That wasnt too much work was it? Also this is where you come to sell your items you have bought on ss that are unbuyables (items that you want more than max shop price; 500k currently). Stick your lot(s) up for the price you want and keep restarting lot once it goes off the browse trades list. (golden rule for me)

Auctions is a great place to make mp. You buy items cheap in here and sell them in trades for more.

Example:

Dear thekrawk
Your bid of 600213MP has won you the item Grey DNA. The MP has been given to ###### and the item is now in your Inventory.

Guess what i paid 600,213mp for it and sold the dna in trades for 1.25 million mp. A quick sale (less than going rate but good profit for you and sold quick)for a profit of 650,000mp off just 1 item.

So you want to learn what you need to know to get items like that do you? Ok i will inform you. First start out by searching auctions from page 1 to auctions listed with 14min. remaining. Look for items super discounted. Know the info on the item. Where it comes/came from what are trades posted at. Will it be easy to sell. Now you got an item yes? Do not bid just yet. Wait till it gets to under 1 min. and click on the auction. Refresh. Get it down to 6 seconds or less refreshing and hit the button place bid. (sometimes having a bid copied and pasted is also good). Number copied and pasted should be what you are willing to pay and so you still make a good profit. Try this out. You will get a feel for it over time. Enjoy and watch out for my name because you will see it alot

Restocking Guide
By Takua95

Restocking is the process of buying items from the Restock Shops at low prices and then reselling them for higher amounts in your User Shop or Trades. Restocking is a bit like introducing a middleman to the marapets economy. As a restocker you are that middleman, and when another player needs an item that you????????re selling and there aren????????t any more of those items available in the Restock Shops, they will buy it from your shop instead. Thus ensuring the restocker an eventual payback for the initial MP they spent (which was likely a minimal amount, anyway) and a profit, higher or lower depending on the value of the item sold.

The profit is what makes restocking worthwhile; because that????????s the MP earn for your hard work! So if you ever want to make money off of restocking, then you????????re going to have to restock items which yield a worthwhile profit. What makes an item worth something? Well, a common factor in item value is its utility in the game. A class of items which are asked for in a certain quest (Computer Repair, Garage, Candy Tree, and Santa Claws) can tend to become more expensive due the demand of that class in order to finish those kinds of quests. This factor applies to most missions as well; Books, CDs, DVDs, Instruments, Pearls, Canned Food, Charms, and Cooking Ingredients are all necessities for anyone wanting to complete the items???????? respective mission; increasing their value and making them easier to sell as well.

Be warned, though! Just because an item has utility does not mean it automatically holds value, even if many other items in its class do. For instance, a Web Camera is a computer, making it good for Computer Repair quests. However, it is only worth 2500MP, whereas the same shop that restocks it also restocks the Motherboard, a computer worth about 60k! The reason that the Motherboard is worth so much more than the Web Camera is because it????????s actually a lot rarer. If you ever look up items on the Satellite Search or Wishlists then you????????ll be able to find out an item????????s rarity. The higher the rarity the more scarcely that item restocks in its shop. The Web Camera is Rarity 1, meaning that, out of any item, it is programmed to restock most often. Due to the widespread availability of the Web Camera, its price stays rather low. The Motherboard, on the other hand, is Rarity 10, ranking it as the rarest of the computers. Of all the items that restock in the Computers shop, this one restocks least often, putting its value very high.

When bought from the Computers shop, though, there is only a 900MP difference between their prices. So which one would you rather buy if you had the choice? The higher the rarity, the more valuable the item; yet the initial price paid is nearly the same. Do some research on a shop before you start restocking there, and find out which items will be worth the most.

That was a long explanation for why these shops are the ones that you should restock from. According to the information presented above, and due to the high values of their items, they????????re pretty much the best shops out there. If you want to make good money through the process then this is where you should buy items from.

Now, let me explain a few rules about the Restock Shops. They all restock every 5 minutes. Each shop has two certain minutes at which they restock on, on the dot. This means that at exactly 12:05:00 the Computers shop will restock. Then at 12:10:00 it will restock again. And then once more at 12:15:00. On the list of Restock Shops above, there are two numbers above each grouping of shops. These numbers indicate the minutes at which any the shops listed beneath them restock their items. If you wanted you could plug in the numbers listed as N in XX:XN:00 to find out the time when you should be at the shop. Knowing this, you will be able to prepare to restock from any shop at any given time.

When it comes down to it, though, restocking is about speed. Sure, before you start you will have to do research and find out the best items to buy. And when a shop is about to restock you????????ll need to camp out there, waiting. But when 10 to 25 other people want to buy the same item as you, whether you get the item or not will be determined by your speed, reflexes, and preparation. This is the juicy part:

How to Actually Restock Items

The first step to restocking from a shop is to get there ahead of time. You????????re going to need to be in the know of what time it is so that you can always make it there on schedule. I suggest you make a habit of checking the clock every 30 seconds. (The clock underneath your ???????New Mail??????? alerts.) When you notice that the clock is reaching ???????XX:XX:50??????? you should mosey on down to one of the shops that????????s about to restock next. A trick I use to make getting to my favorite shops easier is by bookmarking them and then putting them in my bookmarks bar for convenient access. That way I have instant links to all of them, so even if I????????m running a little tight on time I can jump there quickly and easily. Plus that means fewer pages to load, and less time to risk on getting there.

The next step takes place immediately after completing the first one. You????????re at the shop now, so you should ???????position yourself??????? into the most advantageous position for sniping. If it is a shop in which all its items are good (Seeds), then you should position your mouse pointer underneath the far left portion of that ???????thick black line???????. If you keep your pointer here, when an item shows up you will already be ready to click it and you will get to the security code page faster. If the shop is like Computers or Car Parts, where you????????ll want to grab the rarer items first, you should still position your pointer underneath the black line but be prepared to move it quickly left or right when you identify a rare item and its location. Now hold your mouse ready and refresh every second with the F5 key. When the shop restocks you will have to rely on your reflexes to click on the closest, most valuable item. Clicking the item faster will give you an advantage over everyone else and increase your chances of sniping that item.

I hate to break it to you, laptop users, but even using the F11 full screen mode in IE won????????t change the fact that you????????ll have to scroll down the page before being able to click on an item. Unless your laptop has more of a ???????square??????? screen, you really need a desktop monitor in order to click the items in fashion of the second step. It will also be disruptive to have to scroll down the page for the third step, too.

Alright, you????????ve clicked on that Motherboard item and you????????re ready to buy it for 999MP??????? well first you????????ll have to enter a security code! The security code is definitely the hardest part of restocking. This is usually the deciding factor of whether or not you get the item or feel the wrath of the Yellow Poera. Now, you????????ve come to a security code page. You will have to immediately move your cursor down to the form where you type in the code and click on it (that way you can start typing into it). It takes a little practice, but after a while you will be able to get to this page and just swoop right down, clicking the form in a second or two. Now comes the hardest part of all: the code.

Typing in the code, for me, is an exhilarating experience. Blasting out six surprise digits in about 4.5 seconds feels great, mostly because I just got an expensive item, but because it also gives me a weird sentimental pleasure. However I am not like most people but at least I enjoy making money, right? XD Anyway, this is the adrenaline rush. Pure technique with the keyboard must be invested into these few seconds. Take a look at the code, memorize it, type it, and then tap the enter key. There is really nothing much more you can do here except to type that security code, and to do it as fast as you possibly can. After hitting the enter key sit back and let the server handle your request.

A thing that I find kind of funny is that fact that, although I snipe about two sevenths of the Seeds I see, I really can????????t type. I????????m just crazy good with the keyboard and can use both my index fingers very well. Looking at the numbers still helps me a bit, but my subliminal memory remembers the locations of most keys, making typing for me easy. Another thing: I????????ve actually learned how to type with the number pad (Note: Not all keyboards have this.) but it isn????????t as easy as it sounds. ???????Pecking??????? the number keys above my letter keys is still a lot easier and more natural for me. It????????s probably pretty easy for someone who actually knows how to type, too.

Anyway, if you have failed to buy the item and have encountered the Yellow Poera, then you likely will not be able to go back to the shop and snipe the next best item, unless you????????re really quick about it and have a spark of luck, too. By the time you get back to the shop and you????????re going to take your second shot, chances are that everyone else is just finishing up their first shots and the rest of the items will be gone before you can buy them, too.

Entering the wrong security code will also screw you over. If you????????re fighting with 15 other people for those Daffy Seeds and you mess up, by the time you get back and fix your code someone else will have very likely beaten you to the prize. Still, by the small chance that you go back and end up fixing your code quick enough, you can still get the item. I would actually say it????????s worth a shot, but don????????t be surprised if the item is sold out by the time you finish.

Otherwise, congratulations! You????????ve restocked an item! Race back to that shop and see if there are any more items that you might want to snipe, and take a shot at them. Once the shop is completely stripped, go to your inventory. Stick the items you bought into your shop, price them, and make some MP!

In Conclusion

So, that????????s restocking for you. It????????s a high-speed race for valuable items, and whoever wins it will be rewarded with a large sum of marapoints. It will take practice, and for a while you may not be able to snag many good items. Even I can????????t get every nice thing I see in there. But once you get the hang of it all you will be well on your way to becoming a mara-gazillionaire!

Your final step in the pyramid. The end. The conclusion and most ant of all. How to manage your money. Well the easiest way is to send it to me but i dont think you want to do that so let me explain how to manage your money.

First off you want to have a set value of what not to go under. Mine was 1 million at the begining. You will come across amazing business deals and then you can afford them because you spent all your mp on your personal use. I suggest this. Save up all your mp for one week. Lets say you made 200k a day so by the end of the week you have 1.4 million. Keep 1 mill and do what you wish with the 400k (i advise you save it). Bigger profits different scales. If you make 2mill only spend 500k that week. Managing your money will ensure you that you will not end up at the bottom of this pyramid for waistful spending and you will find out with more mp you have the more profits you obtain. With the knowledge of this guide you are on your way to be a successful millionare.
