Well,at the bottom of it it says the red star is a moderater,purple star is support team,and Blue stars are admins. I've noticed that I NEVER see any purple stars on there. Why is this? ~rittheperson We don't have any purple staff anymore, it works better that blue stars have the same powers as me. We may bring back purple later in the year if we need to. We seem to change our layout a lot. Is this layout the final one? Or will we change our color scheme/buttons again? ~FluffyPuppy I think this is the final positioning for the layout. Its difficult to get the layout perfect for everyone to navigate the site easily. I think we've sorted that problem by including just the main links, with 'Also Try...' showing related links. In the summer, we'll have a new design of the layout, but the positions of things will remain the same. Will you ever hire additional artists/designers and programmers (other then for Flash games) to help make the site better? ~Aylett We have a team of flash programmers, who are working on at least one new game a week (we hope to get it up to 2 when we can afford to) and a team of flash artists for the flash games. This helps the site a lot, because once or twice a month I spend a few hours talking to their leader and we plan the next ten games in detail. We pay them and then leave it all to them. They send us them when they are finished and we release in testing for you to try out. We get feedback and then make changes and fix bugs. This is useful, but obviously expensive. Laimay doesn't have to spend ages on the flash game art, and I don't have to waste lots of time talking/organising, when I could be programming for marapets. We also have hired another team of flash artists just this week, who we will pay weekly to work on art just for characters. They'll work on new art, send it weekly and we pay. Once again this helps us as Laimay doesn't have to do them and it doesn't take up much of my time. But hiring people who do the same job as me and Laimay doesn't help the site at all. I like it how it is, with the whole site's scripts being mine - its easier to work with than trying to understand someone else's coding. Laimay also works so fast and hard that if she did any more art, it would be too much. When we have this paid for, we'll next be hiring a team to take over Marahomes. I'd like to make it flash programmed, but will be expensive. But anyone who is thinking about an Account Upgrade, you can see where the money is going to now that we'll have the servers fixed for good in a week or two. Will have lots of changes now that we have more opponents and weapons to work with. I currently have a 12 page inventory and some times it's hard to remember what I have in there, it would be nice if I could just do a search instead of having to look through every page. Also is it possible that the like items in our inventories could all be group together, intsead of being listed in the order they are put in there? Your inventory shouldn't really have 12 pages, it should hold just the items you need there and then. You should store them in your atic, which is organised, grouped and has a great search feature! If people want an item, it will be expensive. If they don't it will be cheap. I know some people invest in certain items they predict will be worth more in the future, thats fine, but trying to increase prices yourself isn't. I saw a board on the forums about a petition to get rid of the portal. Will you always keep the portal because it is a great idea and i love it! ~bitcrazy It isn't going anywhere, but its really out of date and needs changing. We'll change it soon and make a few similar places, one will be where you can get school stats. The really good ones will have some really bad outcomes too, and the risk-free ones like the Portal will give less. For example, a few of one of the DNA items may show up for a certain Dukka Coin, MP, BP or even RP. I'm not running away to anywhere :) Hi Ian, as one of a few people trying to create a great club for other users to enjoy, was wondering if there would be a way to create multiple paged club sites. Even if this had to be an Account Upgrade, another way to help raise money for the site, I'm sure that would be fine with most people. It would be great to have a nice clean looking front page for a club that could call up more pages and allow us to orginize club information much easier. Also, if possible allow us a way to have front pages of Club open for veiwing by anyone to see and if we wish to have a private club then only the other pages would be blocked off. This would mean that the Quiz, Poll, Chat and other functions would blocked for use from non-members. Not sure how hard this would be but I feel this would allow all Clubs to be much easier to build and maintain. ~KevinWP We have lots of plans for Clubs next time they get work done on them. Some of them will be more pages for clubs, a search to find the club you want, a search for staff in clubs to find the member they are looking for, club councils and lots of other extra features. And we're planning to have all plushies for EVERY pet and all of their current costumes. We'll also do the same for potions, and in future when a new pet colour is released, so will its potion and plushie! Is Anything Special Planned For Mara's 2 Year Birthday? ~Forget Not yet, but we'll definately do something big for it. We can't plan that far in advance because we get things done so quickly. If we planned August now, it would most likely get released in June. How does speed help your pet while fighting? Also what are the strength boosts? Such as what level of strength will your pet start to do more damage. ~Trainer The Arena hasn't had any major changes to it since it was released. I can't remember the exact way damage is calculated, but its not as good as I want it to be. But for its first release I'm happy with it, when I'm happy with the variety of items we have for battles I'll add tons more features to make battling more interesting. If the site flopped, it would be me that would suffer from it. But as Laimay does 50% of the work, I like to say she owns 40% because thats how I see it. Its not my site because I didn't do it all. I own the other 40% and the Newths own the final 20%. Will the spot that used to be on the old layout that told us what was going to coming on marapets. (e.g Battledome, maraschool, etc). Its too much warning right now and when we do our final major server upgrade this week, I'll edit it so they die more often. Why can't you talk about other pet sites? ~saolao For the same reason romance topics are banned, certain people abuse it. For every user that wants to have a sensible chat about another site, there are 10 that will SPAM for referrals or other spamming. I think its best to just ban it. We spend lots of money on advertising, so its banned to stop other sites stealing our players too.
