Well we have sold our boat and bought a 5th wheel. We built our boat and sailed from BC, Canada to the Caribbean. Had wonderful adventures for many years on the ocean and now we will continue to have adventures on land.
My husband seems to be getting a handle on his depression and he has been amazing.
I was diagnosed with cancer last year and I am now getting chemo every 3 months to keep the nasty monster at bay.
So, life is good. Really good.

The world seems to be changing and so are we.

Hubby and I are in the process of changing our lives but, this is a good thing. We have lived and sailed all over in our sailboat and the time has come to sell her. We have bought an RV and will be travelling on land instead of on water.

The funny thing is that my husband has suffered from depression for many years and he seems to be doing much better since selling the boat. Go figure.
Sailing was his life. We built our boat and it became my life also. I was prepared to help hubby through the very lows I figured he would hit but it hasn't happened. He is more relaxed and happier than I have seen him in years. Maybe the pressure of having to go sailing has left him? I don't know but, if the crash does come, I will be here for him.

Always and forever.

This time of year can be so hard on someone suffering from depression.
Please be supportive, patient and understanding.
The person does not know, most times, when they are lashing out, acting unfairly and sulking around.
Remember, they have no control over this.
Love and support and praise when needed.

Happy Holidays to all.

Living with someone that suffers from depression is hard.

You must be understanding, not overly zealous and very patient.

Remember that the person is suffering from a medical condition and really doesn't have much control over their emotions.

They can be in a great mood and you turn your back and the ugly mood has reappeared. Sometimes I just want to cry because I get my hopes up that today might be a peaceful day but that doesn't happen.

Another day goes by.
