Bea skips gleefully (you think) towards you, leaving a trail of blood in her path. Bea is one of the most unlucky MaraPet to roam Marada. Kidnapped by her would-be assailants, gutted, beheaded, and left to rot. This is not the end of her story, however.

It turns out decapitation was but a minor setback. She still lives. Whether she is experiencing constant agony, we do not know, as she does not have the ability to speak or think (if she only had a brain). She still has a heart of gold, though, and senses the good in those who are kind to her.

I, feeling sorry for the poor Yuni, decided to offer the headless beast an apple. She more than happily accepted it, inserting it into her esophagus. A bit grotesque, yes, but she now sees me as her caregiver. I will live with this, just as she lived with the ordeals she was put through.
