On the 30th of November, 2014, I was most suprised to receive a maramail from a stranger named eve555. Her tear-stained letter said "please have a pet."

I consulted my pets. We were all confused. I wrote back "Sorry, I don't think I understand. Why should I have a pet?"

Shortly, another tear-stained letter arrived: "I send to you. Please take over. Thank you." No sooner had I read it then my wrisch beeped. I had a pet exchange request apparently. We were at the Lush Lake, but travelled to Minipet Island as quickly as we could. There, tied to a post, with a 10k fee to accept him, was Hoip. I wrote back to eve555, "If you insist, I will accept Hoip. He is very cute. Please let me know if you would like him back. I will return him to you at any time you ask."

A few minutes later I received my final maramail from eve555. Indeed, I have not heard from her again to this day. Her last maramail was not damp from tears. It simply said, "Thank you very much. Please make the relationship good. The thanks is made deep." I replied with "Don't worry, I'll take good care of him."

Truth be told, I have been unsure of what to do with Hoip, and consequently, have only catered to his most basic needs in the 3 years he's been one of my pets. I never felt the need to have a Zetlian, and yet, I feel I can't abandon him because I told eve555 I wouldn't. I also am hesitant to change him in any way. What if she returns one day and wants him back? Though given her 3 year absence that does seem unlikely.

Hoip seems fine, though I wouldn't say he's bonded with me or the others particularly. He enters the olympics regularly, along with the others, though rarely wins. When we travel, he hops along at the back of the group. I don't think about him much these days, but I know Pomping keeps an eye out for him.
