Empty sockets pointed in your direction make you feel as though you are being watched. Kuronue says she found it laying to the side of the road.
There is a stench that is sharp and sour around this thing. It moves in a shaky manner. A low growl echoing out of a ruined chest. Maybe she should take it to the hospital in the city, but she says she already tried. Nothing could be done.
You watch as she dumps a few scoops of brain cake into a bowl and places it in front of this ... thing. It steps in said bowl first, then after a painfully quiet minute, it stoops down and starts to eat, not bothered by the fact that it just stepped in it's own food.
Having no lips of really even much in terms of facial tissue, you can only watch in disgust as it eats. Every chew is painfully visible and slow.
Kuronue gives one of it's decaying ears a scratch and smiles.
"He's not that pretty, and he's a bit picky, but he's actually a little sweet heart." The thing purrs. "Go ahead, touch him. It's fine."
Not wanting to be rude, you swallow hard and reach out. It's fur is greasy to the touch, a discolored hue of green. You could swear that your fingers grazed something slimy just beneath the fur.
Before you can react, it twists around and yellowed fangs protruding from a skeletal face sinks into your arm. You let out a shout, then begin to feel ill.
Falling to the ground, your vision start to go black. Staring at it, only one last word leaves.
