Its almost October so we thought that we would let you know about all of the amazing Halloween Events that will be happening really soon. In the past, Halloween events have lasted 1 or 2 weeks, but this year we are going to extend the festivity for a whole month. Halloween News will start any time this week and last until the first week in November! These new Halloween pets have just been added.
 
Halloween Events
Elger's Trick or Treat
Similar to last year's event, Elger will run a trick or treating event at her Haunted House. Anyone with at least one Halloween, Nefarious, Skeleton, Ghost or Witch pet will be able to take part in this event for free.
Pumpkin Hunt
Just like last year, the Pumpkin Hunt will have you all hunting for pumpkins randomly hidden on certain pages for prizes.
Character Trick or Treat
A new event for this year! More information will be released about this when the event starts. But to take part, you need to have a halloween related Character Costume on your character. There will be more of these released soon.
Halloween Snowman
The Snowman will be celebrating Halloween again this year too... but you won't know how until nearer Halloween.
Halloween Random Events
There will be lots of new Random Events that will only show up in October themed for halloween.

And as usual, Halloween will mean there will be tons of other news and updates around the site themed around Halloween and Undying Woods.

The Nefarious Character Costumes are also part of the new upgrade. These costumes WILL also be halloween trick or treat costumes for characters and a brand new event for these to take part in.

A new Account Upgrade for October will be released within the next couple of hours. This month's theme is Nefarious pets. The January Account Upgrade will be retiring. We will also be retiring the Sunglasses and Character Costumes from the limited edtion items. You have until October 1st to get them! This costume DOES count as a Halloween Costume and can be used to take part in the trick or treating event in October.

A Community section has just been added to the site's layout. Now that we have this section, every single page of the site has its own category to be listed in. You can find everything on the site from either the Dress Up, Currency, Community, Games, Shops or Pets categories listed on the layout. Most features of the site can also be found on one of the many virtual world maps we have too. This means that theres now more than one way of finding every page on the site. Hopefully it will make the site much easier for you to find stuff you are looking for now!

Continuing to improve the overall navigation of the site, we've just added a new Currency page. The link to this page is at the top of every page of the site and the page features everything on the site related to the Marapets Economy and Currencies. Its similar to the pets, games and dress up sections of the site - information and listings of all content on the site releated to these sections. We hope you find it useful.

Two new Wigs are restocking in the wig shop - Egyptian and Afro. They can be used for male and female dress up.
All of the Male Hoodies with the hood up now all work with every hairstyle.

The new Marapets Layout has been completed. If you haven't already noticed, the footer of the site is now finished and looks a lot better than before! We'll be making a few minor changes to the layout over the next couple of weeks but as far as you will all notice, its finished! We hope you all like the changes.

We have just added a Vending Machine Giftbox and a Clothing Rack Giftbox to the account upgrades page. You can use them once and get to use those dailies double as often for life!
All of the clothing featured on the Usher Dress Up Doll page has now been added to the Clothing Rack. But theres lots of new, similar clothing that has just been added to the Vending Machine too! Some of the new Vending Machine clothing is shown below...

Our third Dress Up Game has just been released. This doll maker is Usher. We have arranged some of the clothes, shoes and hair styles avaliable for Marapets dolls to look like what we think would be Usher. You can play with the doll maker to dress up Usher. If you like some of the clothes or hairstyles, you can get them on the site for your own dress up character!
Please note that the clothing won't actually come out of the Clothing Rack until the next marapets day in a couple of hours. The hoodies also will look strange with certain hairstyles for a couple of days too until we update the flash module.

NEW LAYOUT
While we hope you have all already noticed, we have just released a new Marapets Layout. We started this layout at the same time as the new Frontpage and have put weeks of work into making sure it looks great, improves navigation and loads faster. We decided to change the order of the links, add a few new links and remove some of the links that are barely ever used. The layout isn't totally finished yet - we will carry on working on it over the next few days now that we have lots of your feedback. We also haven't completed the layout for the bottom of the site, which needed a lot of work!

The Lush Fountain has been improved. You can now preview what the colour changes for your character will look like before you pay 100MP for the changes. Also, if you do not select a colour for tops, bottoms or shoes, it will remain the colour it was already at - before you had to change the colour of all 3 at once! It has also been fixed so that the changes to your character are updated site-wide instantly without any delay. It has also been improved so that its much easier to understand.
